This is delicious and easy to drink. Nice balance of sweetness and acidity. I don’t have a record of purchasing this, so I must have mixed it up with the 20 or 21 vintage, or I purchased this while at the shop at LC and never entered it.

Off-dry, the bracing high acidity buffers the sweetness. Complex and long, German Riesling Kabinett remains ohne of the best QPRs in the wine world. 93+.

9 Rieslings - 6 Dry 3 Off Dry: Wine seven, non blind. First up of the off dry, this was mostly sweet fruit on the nose for me, on the palate it developed more into ripe oranges and maybe honeycrisp apple? Very well integrated for being relatively young, this was the easiest drinking of the off drys.

Nine Rieslings, Mostly Dry, with Seven DC Doods (DeeCee Columbia Heights): Pale straw color. An absolute treat with plenty of classic honeysuckle and mandarin on the nose and a beautifully balanced mix of citrus, rocks, sweetness and acid. This was drinking so nicely and disappeared quite quickly.

I keep opening MFR WSU kabis for people and not taking notes. Everyone loved it. But, purely from memory, the 2020 I had a month and a half ago was showing better. This may have entered the dormant phase. Thus no score.

Hmm, not sure if something is wrong with me or this wine. Probably me? Recovering from Covid, but my sense of smell is perfectly fine. The cork on this was spongy and soaked 2/3 of the way up, quite spritzy at first. very inviting on the nose - lemon, ripe tangerine, rocks and rainwater. Palate is quite hollow and almost totally devoid of finish, and lacking fruit aside from a smidge of grapefruit, but with a texture that I associate with wehlener sonnenuhr, and minerality intact. No off flavors. So. Is it Covid? Is it a bad closure? Lightly corked? Is it just reduced/shut down? No way to know right now.

A slightly reserved nose - honey, apple, floral. But the initial sip - Wow - a veritable full-on fruit explosion! Nothing light or airy (or dry) about this wine. Apples, pears, Mandarin oranges in a strong-arm balance with honeyed sweetness, acidic backbone and strong minerality. Maybe it was the interaction with my body chemistry, but the harmony and intensity were amazing. A wine that jolted me out of my holiday preoccupations...and put a smile on my face...

Bit of spritz, initially tart with green Granny Smith apples. A bit sharp, this seemed to incite a wheeze in my breathing - high sulfur? Calmed down after a night open and then was dominated by apples. Overall, it seemed like my bottle was at an awkward place. Decent, but did not wow me. 85-88 range for now.

Shockingly explosive on the palate, this has Spätlese intensity, even if contained in a Kabinett frame. The bones of the Wehlener Sonnenuhr are apparent in the wine, supplemented with a fresh, zesty top note of a juicy clementine orange. The intensity of flavor reverberates through the mid-palate and finish, making it a rave experience in a green Mosel flute. Ian Anderson as Riesling, madly jumping around the stage, eyes bulging and flaring, hair flying as he alternates between impossible rhymes and staccato instrumental runs. Skating away on the thin ice of a new daaaaaaayyyy.
A great wine for the price, but it's the least remarkable of the great 2019 Kabinett. If I didn't drink the other first, I would give this a higher score. How do you beat it for $20, no way, but spend an extra $10 and get a far far better wine. It took me few day to drink this wine.

Kryddig och örtig, men utan att bli besk eller för grön. Syran idag aningen påträngande och kommer gynnas av några års lagring. Lär bli helt fantastisk då. 90 idag men med potential till mer.

Pale with a bit of spritz evoking JJ Prum. White flowers and lime. Light, off dry attack with apple, then brisk acidity and slate yielding an appropriately puckery finish for such a young wine. This may be the best of the four Richter Kabinetts I've tried from this vintage. It should age and improve exceptionally well over the next 15 to 20 years, but who could possibly keep their hands off it for that long? And all of that for the royal sum of 20 bucks.
This lost hardly anything over 3 nights except for the slight effervescence. Yup, it's gonna be okay with a lot more time in bottle.

Insanely gluggable. A bit of spritz. Perfect balance of acid, mineral, and orchard fruit. Just a kiss of sweetness to soften the razor edge of acid. No time to savor or contemplate - was too busy downing the bottle. glug glug.

Light yellow. Very floral with green fruit. Off dry, light, and kissed by slate, just not as bright and brisk as 2 years ago.
