PnP. Very light greenish gold. Subtle herbaceous nose. Soft on the palate but with enough hidden acidity to be quaffable. This has lost some of its edginess so should be drunk now. Nice - perfect aperitivo,

Birthday lunch (Porcine, Oxford Street): Slight fennel, stone fruit, touch of herbaceousness. Juicy, fleshy muted fruit on the palate, again stone fruit, fennel in the background. Okay.

Excellent classic Verdicchio with crisp fragrant aromas. Light straw in color. On the palate, fresh citrus, passion fruit and white nectarines. Wonderfully engaging acidity with delightful finish. Look forward to tasting 2020 vintage.

From Coravin. Mineral, slightly grapefruit, a slight pretty jubey note here as well but the stony note is very present. Medium plus intensity acidity, tangy, drying grip is mineral with wet stone and muted grapefruit. Long. For me this is very nice indeed.

Intensely floral nose which includes tangerine and apricot. Medium weight, ends with a nice touch of herbs and acidity. This has really improved since my previous tasting. Impressive for the price. Good QPR.

Pop and pour. Notes from 1 hr open. Soft melon and salt, sea brine, a touch of cool minty apple. On the palate: excellent acidity, lemon, apple, sea salt, so fresh. Yum.

Nose of white flowers, peach, red apple, pear, lemon zest, almond and saline. Apple, pear and citrus dominate on the palate with a saline streak. Very long finish. Good acidic balance. Served with chicken chili.

Pleasant, light bodied, green apple and white flowers, a summer quaffer at about $16 a bottle. Great with simply spiced seafood and pasta, nothing rich or spicy. Try with fresh goat cheese. Very clean, no green or off notes.

IWS Tuscany, Campania, Basilicata, Marche, Umbria; 1/29/2022-1/30/2022 (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Peachy stone fruit, boiled lozenges, slight sulphur and candy floss. More of the same in the mouth with fresh acidity and a little textured burr on the mid palate. Balanced. Pleasant.

Almost clear wine. Light bodied. Muted passionfruit on the nose. Palate is tart, with cat's piss. High acidity. Undrinkable for me.

The price quality ratio is amazing. Pear, apricot and some grapefruit at the nose. Long after taste, right acidity.

Good everyday light white, firm acidity (which calms on second day), mild minerality, with tropical and cirtrus in a restrained way.

I like this but it is not ready for prime time. Very tart with good structure but not much flavor. Needs a year.
