United Cellars Grand Cru Pinot Noir tasting (The four seasons hotel, the rocks, sydney): Medium plus intensity aromas of black cherry, plums, earthy notes, touches of sweet spice, a little mineral note and a touch of gameyness. Juicy, red and black fruit, again a little sourness, woody, chalky tannins prove tight, alcohol warmth intrudes slight on the finish, too young but also a little out of whack. not for me.

Salon Focofi Paris walkabout and dinner, so no detailed tasting notes. The new era of Clos de Lambrays the 2018 and 2019 side by side. Both are modern wines, polished with noticeable oak but all in place for a good outcome. The 2018 is a bit denser than the 2019 but equally competent. the quality is up, but so is the price...

Intense nose of rose, violet, cherry, yogurt, soft cinnamon, with some dust and forest floor coming with with air. Super floral overall.
On the palate rose water, sour cherry, baking spices on the finish.
Medium alcohol (13.5%), medium body, medium+ acidity. Ultra fine tannins.
Delicate and floral, it was immediately enjoyable but has the bones to age gracefully. So good, I kept going back to the glass just to smell even after it was empty.

Nose is still closed. Red fruits, strawberry. Toast and spices. Medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin. Drinking it together with wine maker Jacques Devauges for his inaugural vintage in Singapore arranged by Vintage.

Very good wine but little disappointment, maybe the wine was having a bad day? For the moment not at the level of 2012, 2017, 2016, 2015 and the grandiose 2018. To re-taste (94-95)

Juicy red fruit. Great depth. Very Morey. Really opened and improved on day 2 to reveal some spice and more grip.

Vintage Club 2021 EP tasting (Singapore): Compared to the 2021, this has more ripeness and darker. Drinking very nicely with good balance.

Very clean, red fruited and light on its feet. Very good potential.

Musique & Vin Pre-Concert Dégustation (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walk around tasting. Ripe red and black cherry with anise, black pepper and allspice. So balanced already, this goes on and on. Best vintage at this house since 2010.
