  • Needed a little bit of air to blow off some of the reduction. Once settled, you get a lot of granny smith apple. Taste is a bit short in length but quite enjoyable wine.

  • Needs some time to breathe and open up. But when it does, it tastes of alpine juice with citrus notes...orange peel, lemon rind...it's a fantastic showing. I don't know where this bottling is going. This is my second bottle in 2 years and I loved it. I have one more. Hard not to think of the man and his struggle. It's a celebration of life.

  • Beautiful wine. Low key, subtle, with herbal notes. Touch of volatility to start. Over 1 hr opened really into aoemrhutb with a bit more depth. Perfect summer wine

  • Excellent, a wine with really eccentric personality and really interesting things to say. Floral and mineral at the same time, with great freshness and a unique taste profile. A wine that would do well in a tasting menu, say with trout and for some reason maybe artichokes.

RIP

  • We were 6 on that bottle. 5 of us liked it. Very nature in style. We could've thought it was a Lambic beer from Belgium on the nose. The palace is quite acidic. This could benefit some aging. Overall a great experience and something new for most of us!

  • This was an unfiltered gringet from (sadly) Belluard's last vintage. I recall loads of orange notes, brightness and crispness but ultimately lacking in terms of depth and length. It did not hold a candle to my beloved Ganevat offerings (though perhaps there was no need to compare). Was enjoyable on a late summer evening with seafood but I felt it missed something or perhaps my expectations were too high. I'll keep my other bottle for another few years to see what age can offer. It's a solid bottle but not something I feel could ever be a favorite of mine.

  • Bright, crisp, fruity with lovely acidity.

  • Fresh flowers, white peach, just ripe quince and starfruits. Yeasty and malo characters adding complexity. Refreshingly long acid line with stony and savoury finish. Fresh and light with purity. Rare gem.

  • The definition of ethereal. There is something here that evokes great Chablis, as well as dry Saar Riesling... beautiful lime juice and crunchy peach notes, plus iris, crushed stone, stale bread, delicate herbs and leaves, fresh driven snow... blazing acid, a superb combo of smooth silk and grippy satin, medium-bodied, mineral and savory. Quirky and tart yet poised and elegant, this has personality. Extraordinary length, so chalky and stony, citrusy and fiery, so very many subtle botanical nuances, and a beautiful brothy/yeasty signature. Fabulous stuff. Give it air and don't serve too cold.

Better on day two, the lime juice note is superlative, but this wine is just indescribable magic. Cut for days, deep yeasty and mineral character, just out of this world.

Great on day three, amazing on day four... the fruit gets a touch richer and the yeasty character is totally integrated now. Marvelous wine.
