Great intensity and a lovely mouthfeel, not cloying. There is subtle vanilla from oak here, providing body and a very nice backbone. On the front palate this is all almonds and honeysuckle along with lemon zest. Medium bodied, high acidity. Medium finish, straightforward. Drinking now, will ve amazing in 20 years!

13.5% ABV. Decanted for 30 minutes. Medium yellow gold. Orchard fruit, peach, quince, mango, lime, ginger, and stony minerality, with bright acidity, and a tight, backward finish. Medium- to full-bodied, with a lightly creamy texture. Very promising, but still young. Start drinking from 2026. 92(+)

Top notch Pinot Bianco and my first ever Cantina Terlano, might as well go straight to the top, with this much lauded Vorberg Riserva. Pop and pour, with brilliant tropical fruit aromas from mangos to some pineapple, and just a little guava briefly. A very delectable mouthfeel of lanolin and a touch of cream texture, with a savory dry stoney back palate and finish. The wine would evolve with food to reveal more nuanced lemon notes ranging from meyer lemon, lime, lemon zest, pickled / preserved salted lemons, and the tropical fruit notes then fade. As the wine sits in the glass long enough the lemon notes fade and reveal more mineral characters and something akin to the texture of confectionary sugars and light brioche but without the exacting aromas. For those that want more consistent fruit, top the glass off every now and then. Excellent with Italian style starters from vegetable platters to asparagus, and awesome with toasted focaccia with a good olive oil dip. A linguine with lemon and black pepper and some shellfish seals the deal for the pairing. The wine commands good food with it. Will see if I have the patience to cellar another bottle or two longer to study its evolution.
Tasted at Tre Bicchieri NYC. Always a nice wine this 100 Pinot Bianco always ages well, aged for 12 months is neutral oak. Bright acidity but a very plush texture. Fresh, long, complex. Citrus, pear and apple fruit. Needs some cellaring and aeration. Nicely balanced. Upside…

Really lovely wine. Strong profile of pineapple, peaches, green apple. Perfectly balanced acidity and minerality. There are reminders of a well made Southern Rhone. I only had 1 bottle but will look forward to picking up more and in other vintages. Great QPR!

Almost 9 months since we had this and pretty interesting to see it again and very much consistent. Mineral, such a cool climate feel, young and probably just about entering the proper years of it albeit has so much more to give and age. For the moment is a 90-91 but this is capable of a lot more with a few more years in bottle.

Having had the 2017, 2019, and 2020 all within a week, the 2017 is clearly the most beautiful of the trio. The 2019 and 2020 are still very primary, and the beautiful fruit and, mostly the acidity, overpowers the mineral and secondary flavors a bit. Still a very charming wine. I keep envisioning letting these wines age to over 10-15 years, but not sure it will actually happen.

Not hugely demonstrative on the nose at first- concentrated nectarine, orange peel, zingy peach. There’s a clear line of salty, stony minerality throughout and a gentle white pepper spice. Gently ripe but fully dry, it has a certain fatness and oiliness to the texture but it’s subtle and very well measured. Medium acidity ensures this is fresh and refined. Really wonderful expression of Pinot blanc.
Probably will improve with age but wanted to share this bottle with friends. Nice aroma and good texture. Palate intensity is a bit on the low side but finish is nice. Noticeably better second day.
2017 Brunellos and other Italian wines: straw yellow with a greenish tint and somewhat viscous in the glass. the nose initially is of melon and flinty notes, but with time in glass and as it warms, it grows richer with notes of white stonefruit, apple, pineapples and more than a passing whiff of white flowers. in the mouth it has an agreeable silky texture with notable acidity and is dry. while initially reticent, it opens nicely in the glass with a mineral vein runs thru the flavours, giving them a lovely quasi-saline twist. very long finish with a hint of spice.
there is quite a bit complexity and structure here, so i'd expect this to drink for quite some time. it also seems like a very lovely food wine with good upside potential.
13.5% AbV; whole cluster pressing and vinified and aged in wood (likely neutral) with full malolactic.

Young and really at the start of its (long) tasting window. A bit closed, firm and still not at its full stride and albeit very welcoming still lovers of the wine like us know how much more this wine can deliver with a bit more of age. Patience here will be rewarded. 90-91 for now but with a lot of future upscale potential.

Bought at Signorvino, Verona - consumed on the terrace overlooking Piazza delle Erbe. After passing on Day 2 - '20 Pieropan La Rocca, I decided to open this instead. Lovely bright and fresh, quite tasty made for a perfect companion to sunset.

Popped and poured. A bit tight and coiled to begin. Very precise, with crisp lemon rind and minerals. Powerful, pure, with very good cut and depth.
