Golden color with medium viscosity. Pear and tropical aromas dominate the nose. There is secondary oak and vanilla, along with dried flowers. The mouthfeel is luxurious and creamy. There are more baked fruit flavors on the palate, with pineapple and citrus emerging toward the end. There is a very pleasant minerality, along with great acidity. Medium finish with oak and vanilla. This Uco Valley chard compares favorably to traditional Napa chardonnays, but without the hefty price tag.

"Full bodied and complex palate with candied fruits, nuts, yeast, oak and white pepper. This lovely Chardonnay has a splendid QPR with ratings from Parker et al. between 93 and 97 points and a sale price of 15/16€" (91p)
2019 features a similar palate; however, oak notes are not as well integrated. Still a great wine but rather bold in style. Great food pairing with homemade goose.

I dont want to be the bad guy here, and maybe its a bad bottle, but this wine doesnt tell me anything. No fruit, oak, nut, nomhamrony, almost watery. Bought for 21€ at Mövenpick Wein. Would not buy again as there are many other nice chardonnays to try.
Nicely balanced chardonnay. Dry, pear, apple, floral notes, grapefruit, some creaminess, softly oaked with some acidity. Has some depth to it which for an average price chardonnay is almost impossible to find. I would repurchase in a heartbeat! Drinks well with or without food.

92/93. Is almost multidimensional, dry, firm, savoury and lightly oaked with nice vanilla hints with that lovely minerally saltiness to it. Excellent length too. 13.5%. Best after 60-90 mins aeration as a red. Drink now or keep 2-5 years. Improves on day 2 and 3.

Not sure this Chardonnay will benefit from further cellaring. It is well balanced now between fruit and minerality and the tannins are absorbed well. Precise with no woody vanilla or fatty taste. Orange peel with citric fruits and apple. The palate has a creamy but not fat texture. Had multiple vintages of this wine and never got diappointed.

Nothing special but a nice Solid Chard, easy drinking - was a crowd pleaser and even some of those of us who are used to drinking Aubert, Kongs, Ferren, etc... thought this was a solid bottle with really no rough edges....... drinking well above its price point. Excellent QPR for a good Cellar Defender!!

Probably my favorite new world Chard (probably the only NW chard that I go out of my way to buy every vintage). Not to be compared with the minerality or energy of a quality Burg, but also not flabby like so many Cali chards. Full body and fruit forward with enough acidity to be in balance from first glass to last. Enough weight to stand up to grilled salmon in a miso-sesame marinade tonight, which is usually pinot territory for me. Will buy the next vintage with or without reviews.

This bottle went wonderfully with prosciutto stuffed fig appetizers and creamy zucchini pasta as the main course.
My prior note applies -which is posted below- but I'd like to add that the minerality was more integrated with this bottle, and the bubble gum was less pronounced.
Apple, citrus, peach, generic bubble gum(I wish I had a better term for it), and a faint whiff of barnyard on the nose. The palate exhibits similar, but with a touch of butter on the mid palate and zesty minerals on the aft that crescendo then linger for a long time. This is well balanced and rather lovely. Not a European Chard, and certainly not a California butter bomb, but something else that employs aspects of both while being quite its own thing.

Nose is very floral with almond, honey and subtle butter. This Chardonnay is full-bodied, rich and a bit funky. Palate is unripe apple, honeydew and lemon cream. Acidity is medium, yet seems to dazzle the tongue on the finish.

92/93. Needs 90 mins to 2 hrs aeration like a good red. Has aromas of stone fruits, chalk, veggies, a bit of rancio and vanilla hints. Its solid buttery and a bit salty lightly clovey medium bodied stone fruits palate has good freshness and lovely depth and end longish, fresh and tapering. Had this with Pintade and this was a good match. Lay down 2-5 years. 13.5%. Excellent value at under 20 Euros.

9 or 10 monrhs in oak evident on nose and on palate, distinctly old world style texture and alcohol level The acidity is what holds this all together, giving a nice balance to the oak and potential for creaminess. Lemon under toast, good length.

If you are looking for a not too dry Chardonnay without any wood, which is fruity but not too fat, this is the right wine for you. With lots of exotic fruits and orange peel, a medium to large body and a refreshing finish that plays lightly with acidity, this Chardonnay is very pleasant to drink. And all this for little money.

Haven't had one of these in about 7-8 years but used to find it quite good so with all the hype lately about this vintage, and all the online sales going on, I decided to try a couple of bottles as I rounded out a case buy for shipping.
Pnp'd to enjoy a glass prior to dinner and it's just.....ok. Maybe an 85? It's yellow, it's got some acid and a sav blanc like citrus bite to it initially. After 30 min in the glass it evolves to a thinner weight and feel chard. Nothing bad, but nothing really remarkable either. Carol made us a beautiful Miso Chilean sea bass dinner with snow peas and exotic mushrooms in wild rice. Tasted exactly like the Seasons 52 rendition of this dish. This wine never quite fired on all cylinders with the fish dish, either. Again, it's not bad, it's just not that good. A $12 bottle of KJackson Vintner's Reserve chard may indeed be a better option? Hope my 2nd bottle is a tad better, or maybe I'll just gift it to one of my kids?
Friend shared this at a dinner last night and for the value this is quite excellent. A very approachable easy to understand (and to drink) Chardonnay from Argentina. The level of oak is notable but not like the big bold in your face California style, and surprisingly it appears literally on the tip of your tongue about halfway through. Casual wine drinkers can be served this with minimal fuss and those who are more advanced will also find pleasure in its style.

Very nice -- somewhere between a crisp Chablis and buttery California Chard. Well balanced, lighter in color, honeysuckle, creamy, vanilla, a little oak. Did not taste the green apple or overly oaky qualities that some reviewers noted. Medium to long finish. Terrific QPR for this level of quality. Would buy again.

One of the best chardonnays I've had lately. All chardonnays have tasted overwhelmingly like burnt matches since covid. This one had the flavor only slightly, and used it tastefully. It enhanced rather than overpowered.

Drunk with friends by the pool (Kai and Georgia). Was nice. Fairly light in color but quite brilliant. This wine is very light on its feet, both aromatically and in the mouth. A combination of lime with a bite and bit of honey. Some oaky, charred notes too. Quite different from American and French chardonnay, but with its own set of charms. Seems more food friendly than many. Still, not my favorite style. 5-12-15-7: 89/100.

Lime fresh colored wine Some lime zest and floral notes on the nose Good acidity. Some oak. Not buttery. Shortish finish. Some melon notes. A little bit round. Not as good as the '18 but still good value and a nice summer patio sipping wine.

It’s okay for the price. But I get more oak than anything else. The fruit that does come through is quite ripe. Tastes like it’s got a bit of VA to it, but not to the level of being a fault. Tried it PnP as well as a one-hour decant. Will see if a second bottle is better and update.
Edit on 9/20/22: second bottle was much better. Not sure if I’ve changed or the previous one was off. There is discernible fruit under the oak now. Feels fresh and crisp. Bumped the score up.

From Mendoza, this is a Chardonnay that surprised me quite a bit. Maybe it was the silly super-heavy bottle, or maybe just an initial expectation of over-ripeness and over-extraction, but it's actually a nicely lean and complex expression, a wine with a pronounced sense of being alive, very much within the idiom of higher-altitude Argentinean whites. It needs some time still to open up, and it's quite reserved in the fruity sense at the outset, but the initial savoury notes of nuts, minerals, and white pepper are joined ultimately by a wonderful array of fruit, such as lemon, peach, yellow plum, mango, apple, and pineapple, yet that fruit never overwhelms the savoury elements. It comes to remind me of a mix of great Chilean Chardonnay and a Campania white like Greco di Tufo, the aromas and flavours balanced, just like the sweetness and acidity on the palate, all leading to a dry, prolonged finish bathed in honey. I suspect it could use 2-3 more years for better integration overall, but it's still remarkably good even just a few years in. 90-91.

Cooked pear, peach, vanilla, crushed stone/earthiness on the nose. Medium-low acidity, medium-high body. Yellow apple, pineapple, and a bit of butter on the palate. Medium length finish. I don’t drink much Chardonnay, but I’d happily have this again.
Follow up: the sweet spot was within a couple hours of opening. Later drinking lost some complexity.
Interesting, showy bottle shape. Heavy duty, high quality capsule. Good quality natural cork.
Poured hay with considerable green tint. Oak present on the nose, with browned baked goods and stewed pear jumping out of the glass. A bit disjointed fresh out of the bottle, with notes of Portuguese egg tart, pear, white peach, toasted nuts, dry time, with a moderately long and subtle finish resembling banana custard. Acidity is present but not shining. Mouthfeel is silky but short. First glass was good, but the second glass, which I enjoyed after a several hour walk, was considerably elevated. The acid, oak and fruit felt much more tightly knitted. A beautiful wine and a great bargain, but not a profound wine. Definitely a crowdpleaser, and with the reputation of El Enemigo, probably a safe bet for future vintages. Score suppressed by slightly too much oak and malolactic.

With a very powerful oak note to it. Or not majorly portfolio but there. Crisper and tighter on the palate. Discombobulated though. Oak and acidity not integrated together. Kinda yuck right now maybe? But also very cold right now so maybe that is what is going on with it.

Vines located at 1500 meters of altitude, aged for 10 months in FR oak using unique technique of thin layer of flor more common in Jura or Sherry. Medium yellow colour. Pretty shy aroma of peaches, wet stone, herbs, apples. Palate is soft and smooth, slightly buttery, mid palate shows some mineral hints among fresh stone fruit flavours, nutty touch, structured with medium intensity round acidity.

Beautifully integrated. Not too alcoholic. Not s burgundy, but a sophisticated new world Chardonnay. Hazlenuts, vanilla and jasmine on the nose; peach, cream overlying balanced oak and a full long mouth taste. Don't get the green apples now. Looking forward to seeing how this ages. Very nice.

Delightful chardonnay with nice complexity (? from the partial flor) especially given its favorable price point.

Decent. Golden yellow in glass. Nose is reminiscent of a sauv blanc with oak. Medium body, flavours are fruity, no butter.

1 hour decant. Was fine. We felt it fell short of the 2018 we really liked.

A solid and good value Chardonnay. Pale yellow. Nice acidity. Not overly oaked nor overly buttery. Pear, citrus, cream, butterscotch.

Nice Chardonnay. Good balance between acidity and body. Think of it as chablis from a warm vintage (with a little bit of oaky vanilla).
Bargain.

Lime fresh colored wine
Some lime zest and floral notes on the nose
Good acidity. Some oak. Not buttery. Shortish finish. Some melon notes. A little bit round. Not as good as the '18 but still good value and a nice summer patio sipping wine.
Smoked a Juan Lopez robusto

Excellent medium to full bodied Chardonnay with good oaked notes without being buttery. Well worth the price. Minty, herbal with light acidity. Some mineral notes.

Very nice.
