  • Deep glass staining ruby garnet color. Bosomy nose of blackberries and leather. Typical rich Aussie mouthfeel; blackberries and black rubber on the palate with a hint of cocoa and soft tannins on the medium long finish. Solid.

  • very big red fruit, not much tanins, very smoth - vintage 2005 - I think it was a Little bit over his Peak, but still very good

  • Very good - jam, oak and pepper on the nose; full red jam on the palate, smooth tannins; medium-long finish. Just a touch hot. My palate is moveing away from Aussie-style Shiraz - a year ago I would probably have given this a 90-plus.

  • Straight blueberry and blackberry fruit in this. Has a very high yummy factor. Nothing too complex but enjoyable. Seems to diminish on the finish a bit. ($12)

  • Fair bit of fruit, well balanced and long in the mouth with a very small amount of tannins. Has at least 2 years of development left and lots of time after that to drink. [cork, 13.5% ALC]

  • This is a fun little wine. At this point in its life it is still exuberant but has mellowed enough to be easier to drink. It's a large wine, fruit content wise, prefect with ribs or burgers, and should be a crowd pleaser. I'm not sure about the $20 it was originally listed at, but I'd buy at anything under $15.

  • A very nice Shiraz. I decanted this for an hour, and was rewarded with a pleasant nose that reminded me of wet moss (fresh). In the mouth I found deep fruit (berries), slightly tart - but that should round out with a bit more time. A bit of spice, full bodied, very nice.

  • Alcohol dominated the nose. Some fruit on the palate but also many earthy notes. Typical shiraz but a pretty short finish. I wasn't impressed and a 90 from Parker on an Australian Shiraz is probably an 87-88 for most other people. I'd say that for $13 it's not a bad buy at all but the short finish, high alcohol, and somewhat hollow midpalate, I'd not buy again.

  • I loved this wine & it is great value too. NOSE: Very complex and could pick up different aromas as i made my way through the glass ... err bottle .. it didn't last long. Initially spices & a firm earthy woodiness. Aromas of blackberry & mulberry and definately coffees & cinnamon chocolate with a smell of cherry ripe. TASTE: Wasn't disappointed. My palate picked up oodles of red berries with a slight subtle oaky finish. A good well bodied brooding shiraz. Very soft tannins and a lengthy after taste. GENERAL: A bottle of red that belies its price point imho. And as with all my other reviews the obligatory questions. Would i recommend it to family and friends? You bet i would. Would i buy it again? Absolutely. A case or two of this please.
