Another bottle with some age that was not built for age. Medium maroon. Nose has a bit of barnyard whiff, but that dissapates with time. Still nice fruit: cherry, plum, ripe raspberry, ripe strawberry. What is missing is backbone. Very soft at this age.

Found a couple of these under other bottles, almost forgot about them. I did see that I drank one of the three laid down, and forgot to mention it here. Aroma really opened up after about an hour or so, was rather thin at first. The scent is an integrated blend of floral and fruit, and the taste is solid Pinot Noir. Good Oregon funk, with tannins having faded away. Long finish of cherries with a hint of peppercorns. I saw that WS said to drink by 2012, but this is tasting quite nice. My original intention on opening this bottle was to drink the third and final one this year, and while that may happen, I still think this has enough acid to stay at it's peak throughout 2014. Maybe beyond, who knows? At the price I paid, ($18) I wish I had laid down more.

Pop and pour. Medium to dark maroon color with signs of bricking on the rim. Very viscous legs. Smokey nose (sadly, with the faintest sour vinegar scent lurking in the background) with vanilla, rhubarb and plums intermixed. Initial palate echos the smokey nose. Big fruit (typical '06 meaty, beaty, big and bouncy), thankfully the vinegar doesn't carry through to the palate. Full-bodied, linear, one-dimensional. Back in the swingin' '70's a company named General Brewing Company made a generic beer (it was a plain white can with black letters spelling beer). You old timers will remember. Anyway, this bottle reminds me of generic red wine (not even Pinot Noir, just red wine). Don't get me wrong, it's clean and frisky, but it lacks any personality or character.

Found one bottle hiding in the far corner of the cellar. Not sure where it came from, but looked like it needed to be consumed. Darker color than expected; a nice ruby. Lighter and more open nose of cherry, tea, spice, and just a hint of gaminess. Lighter in the palate than the color would suggest, open and airy, with the same array of flavors as on the nose. Medium finish.

Really nice. Definitely soft with dark fruit and very noticeable cherry. Spice and long finish. This is a wine that nobody would confuse for anything other than pinot noir. I like.

Ruby/garnet color revealed an aromatic bouquet of dark cherries and spices. Aromas carried through in the flavors as well. Jammy combination of cherries and blackberries dominated the palette. This juicy Pinot Noir held up nicely with a long, spicy finish showcasing its mellow tannins.
Only 1 bottle left in the cellar, hope I can find some more!

Dark ruby color. Upon opening black cherry and cola dominated. after a 3 hour decant some secondary characteristics began to show. There was still black cherry and cola but mushroom, earth and hints of game were showing. Somewhat short finish but overall not a bad wine for $23. I think there is a little room for improvement in the short term. Would like to try this again a year from now. (85+ pts) .

On the thin side, featuring cherry, cranberry, earth, and cola. A nice enough bottle for the price, varietally correct, but no one will use the word "terroir" in their tasting notes. 86-87

Very deep color for a pinot -- deep purple. Lots of plum and grape on the nose, and it really opened up with about 30 minutes. By my second glass, it was becoming much more balanced in the mouth, with some nice mushrooms and fairly good bite. Definitely needs to open up a little, but this pinot isn't bad for the price and it's a little fruitier and bigger than a typical Oregon pinot.

Tasted blind, decanted for 90 minutes - from 375ml bottle - Served at 63 F. Best of flight, nice complex nose of bing cherries, minerals, game and tobacco.. nice finish... ample fruit and complexity... I was very surprised by this wine... Most everyone in our group thought it was a burgundy

Opened not decanted. Some licorice but primarily sweet hard candy on the nose. On the palate: strong sweet, purple Concord grapes with a watery middle and short finish. There are also some dry Coca Cola tastes thrown in too. Fair to Good.

Was disapointed with this, esp for $20. Had an odd taste that I could not identify that I have seen in other Pinots. Slightly on the harsh side and not as smooth/ballanced as I would have liked. Would not buy again.

nose didn't have a lot of distinction in this wine. I got some herbs and that red wine smell. Nothing too exciting. The mouthfeel was pleasant enough.. smooth mouthfeel. attack was a little alcoholic and the finish a little bitter.

"Cherry cola dominated" hits the nail on the head. High alcohol threw it out of balance, but not a disaster.
