Superb. I love hanging onto wines for a while, and then drinking them with friends. This one did *not* disappoint.
Plenty of complex oak and fruit aromas, smooth and sweet on the tongue, with lots of "jammy" cherries and oak flavors. Dinner party with BBQ ribs, and this held its own against younger/ more expensive zinfandels quite nicely.

St. Francis "old vines" makes superb Zin! Jammy, chewy, absolutely delicious. Had with grilled roast in a chimichurri sauce. Just perfect. Share with those who enjoy good wine with lots of character and depth.

Popped and poured with perhaps 15 minutes of airing at best. Deep ruby red, medium bodied, berries and plums, with a touch of citrus on the nose, smooth tannins, slightly sweet on a somewhat medium finish but overall a nice dry zin. Went really well with spicy food.

Initial spicyness with black pepper taste that becomes a more fruit forward finish that includes berries, chocolate, and tobacco. Didn't expect much from the wine but it was very solid and nuanced with different flavors.

Blind Zins For Lunch (Vineyard Music Office): Soft round nose with some heat and tart berry. Dark heavy fruit, somewhat soft and bland. Seemed to be have some oxidation or an aged quality in the background.

Fogo De Chao - Chicago (Chicago): This was a good way to start our carnivorous feast. Slightly peppery and jammy, this was well structured Zin that everyone seemed to like. No formal notes but was not disappointed with this wine. Would definitely purchase again.

GOOD- This has nice dark color. The nose is all pepper, spice. Nice smooth feel on the palate, medium body. The taste is all pepper. I like spice and pepper but this Zin is dominant pepper which throws it off balance. It's a good wine and if you like pepper it's a great wine.

For the price this is a great Zin! .... the nose had strong hint of ripe berries you could smell the depth of it, with the taste had a very smooth almost caramel texture first taste which was followed with Oak , Plum and Vanilla. For a bottle that cost me under 20$ this was great had a velvety texture through out the drink. Body was great nice full body what a good Zin needs to be, slight tannins from the oak barrels and great soft finish. For 20$ cant beat it recommend it highly!

Strong berry nose and a wonderful, dark deep red color. This is aged over 12 months in oak and it comes through. Taste is deep as well. We really enjoyed this wine.

There is not much nose at all, but there is good round fruit up front. Cherry and some strawberry jam gives way to oak and pepper with lots of flavor A bit of a disappointing finish, weak and slightly bitter but all and all a satisfying wine, especially for the price.

Very solid and balanced. Could easily wait another year, but great now too. Nice, big old vine zin.

This time I noticed the flavor of pepper very much in front, still very easy to drink and a decent value overall.

Lighter than the classic peppery Zin, but nice fruit, smooth, well balanced with nice finish. Enjoyed by all in tasting group

Always a good bang for the buck - this vintage seems to have even more spice and pepper than previous vintages. This is what I look for in a zin.
