Over the hill, also not clear how the bottle had been stored. Very dark gold color, super oxydized if not maderized nose. Lacks freshness on the palate. Soso vintagemost likely contributes. A pity.

Tasted over the hill, maybe a few years too late on this bottle. Slight oxidization (could be premox?), lacking the acid and tension especially when next to the Ente Meursault.

Nose: honeysuckle, brioche, mango, vanilla Notes: Quite a good nose upon opening. Medium to full bodied with a bread and caramel like aftertaste. This is certainly a very well conditioned Leflaive and what a classical leflaive should taste and smell like. What surprised me is that the color is still so light and vibrant. This is drinking quite perfectly now and I doubt if this will get any better with time. I feel the premox problem in white Burgundies is stopping many wine lovers from opening back vintages and I'm feeling lucky today for having this wonderful bottle. Rating: 92 Drink: Now-2030

Jeg fant lite å like i denne.

Another one oxidised which you can suspect from the deepness of the colour on the first pour . Stark contrast to the 2011 Olivier Leflaive PM Pucelles which we had at a restaurant on Saturday which was quite wonderful .

Quite advanced both in colour and nose. I don't deem it oxidized though as there was good fruit, quite full bodied and good balance. Deep colour and the nose is mature with some rubber and flint. Not a great year, but the long piercing finish tells about the great terroir here.

Light gold, but no signs of oxidation. Elegant yet exotic nose of apricot, wild flower honey, and lemon peel, with pleasing smokey reductive notes. Expressive, ripe, and medium bodied, this is a gorgeous wine even if this rich style is not your favorite. With a few more time in the cellar this should moderate, but it is stunning now. Drink for 10+ more years.

Light to medium yellow; straw-coloured. Unlike some other bottles we have had, this does not appear to be oxidised. It is full of ripe, peachy, honeysuckle fruit, is well-rounded, deeply flavoured, slightly peppery and long on the finish. This particular bottle is excellent, and it is just a pity there appears to be so much bottle variation.

From Magnum and monitored over a couple of hours. This is a good wine no question about it BUT it suffers at this stage from the oak. It is just a vail, at times we thought it was an iron curtain, over the beauty that lies beneath this wine. Maybe its young and it will assimilate over time (we hope) but at the moment its just a good, ripe oaky chardonnay. The minerality and life are just sitting on the bench here. This is wine is Man United managed by Moyes... still a 91 but with a heavy heart.

Pre-holiday afternoon with friends...mostly with Burgundy (Northbrook, IL): very surprisingly showing lots of advanced age. Not as much surprise - clear signs of botrytis that don't contribute to a great savory white Burg. Not sure if this botrytized character will soften or increase as the wine ages going forward, and/or add sweetness or nuance.

2006 Burgundy Test Drive: Nice depth on the entry -- no question this is larger in scale than the Jadot -- but lacking the crystallized angularity I usually love about Leflaive. Not so pretty on the back end, either, which is heavily stamped by raw wood. Same story in the leftovers the next day, but two days later it's much purer and mineral, a sea change in the wine.

Seamless, this balances its round and creamy texture with a laser line of acidity, deftly integrating its green apple and butter notes into a tight, punchy pacakage. Medium, perhaps leaning towards full bodied on the palate, this shows enough delicacy to pair perfectly with lighter fish courses.
