Ridge knows how to make Zin the right way. This from last year's club shipment. From the Benito Dusi vineyard. Dry farmed. 100% Zinfandel, 14.5% abv. blackberry plum pepper are the prominent flavors on the palate. Good balance.

Tasted alongside 2020 Boatman and 2021 and 2015 Geyserville. Paso Robles was the biggest, most brambly, fruit forward Zin of the bunch. It was still balanced and fun to drink.

Paired with Brie with fig jam and cracker. Tasted side by side with the Boatman Graveyard Zin.
A but Smokey on the nose and tannic on the pallet. Otherwise a decent Zin. Unfortunately this was tasted side by side with the Boatman Grabeyard Zin that is absolutely exceptional.

Can’t really keep the corks in these delicious bottles. This Paso has more concentrated and up front fruit than most other vintages, but the 14.5 ABV is well integrated as usual. A hedonistic version of this great Ridge Zinfandel. Will age well but I need more room in the cellar for Lytton and Geyserville. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

I absolutely love this wine - the embodiment of Ridge's superiority producing Zinfandels of excellence. Not only is it delicious today, but in 5-10 years it'll gain further complexity & character revealing full expression of its inherent beauty.
No - I'm not an employee or paid influencer for Ridge. Zinfandel is my favorite varietal, and this label is tops.

Deep dark garnet in color; almost opaque. Full, forward, & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & black currants with overtones of briary & earthy notes, spices, herbs, pepper, cocoa, minerals & a hint of vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced, & smooth textured, jammy, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & boysenberries with spices, herbs, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but has the structure to continue development.

Nascent nose of new oak and very ripe, crushed raspberries. Sweet vanilla and a hint of dill. With air it’s showing more and more ripe raspberry and black raspberry fruit. Delicious with just the right amount of oak to add structure but there is bright, ripe, pure black raspberry fruit and spice!! Silky tannin and bright acidity Excellent. 92

Purple in color. 14.5% ABV. 100% Zinfandel from Benito Dusi Ranch. Sublime nose of red fruits, peach, baking spices and pepper. Medium body with mouth watering acidity. Packed with bright, juicy fruits. Cherry, raspberry liqueur, boysenberry and pepper on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish. Undoubtedly the best vintage of this wine in recent memory. Best over the next 4-6 years.

Delicious! Popped and poured.
While drinking I thought, "this has it all". Amazing nose, taste and finish.
It's what I personally look for in a zin. Big, complex, fruity, oak'y, and a little smokey. Yet not over-bearing in any dimension.
Will buy more.
