Very good but did not have the balance or exquisite layers of the Volcanic Hill served side by side. Bordeaux like qualities of earth, oak and leather on the palate with notes of bright, red fruit. The fruit was sweeter than I expected with maybe a hint of cola on the finish. Still, it’s Diamond Creek, sooooo.

Sell: 2005 High-Alcohol (15% and Up) California Cabernets I own quite a few of these, because we had a 2005-vintage baby, but sadly they won't make it to her 21st birthday. Wines from '05 that kept their alcohol in check, however, should do just fine. Forbes, April 30, 2018

California Wine Night (Sam's South Loop - Chicago, IL): Tasted at the 2008 Sam's South Loop Grand California Night Event. Lots of minerality present on the nose. Short finish. Not a good QPR at all. May need some time to develop, but I don't think this stuff is worth $150.

Decanter Fine Wine Encounter (Landmark Hotel, London): Soft approachable nose. Enticing palate, lush, enveloping. Lovely finish.

Heritage Grand Wine Tasting (Ritz-Carlton - Chicago, IL): Tasted at the 2008 Heritage Grand Wine Tasting @ The Ritz-Carlton in Chicago.
Not quite as complete as the Volcanic Hill. Less balance and finesse.
