This is my 7th bottle of this cuvee. I think this is the best bottle I’ve had yet. This is from the most recent batch that’s come into the US. No disgorgement info (I think they’ll include it going forward, there’s definitely a push to) so unsure if base or anything. But mouthfeel, acidity and everything else struck the sweet spot tonight. Glad Gallimard is my “house” Champagne.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (EBCC): Light color with a lingering mousse. Notes of green apple, chalk and ginger. Fine bead. Orchard fruit dominates the palate. A lovely little Champagne.

We consumed while cooking and before our Thanksgiving meal. Nice! Not lacking the depth (the way some blanc de blancs do at lower price points) Nose had strong traces of Croissant, toast, nuts. Palette had undercurrent of brioche and citrus.

Retail $50. 100% Chardonnay. While I have no desire to "stuff the ballot" this wine (and producer) has been a fantastic purchase for us. I just hope that it shows up again soon on Last Bottle Wines Excellent. 92 Pts.
Purchased a half dozen of these in Sept ‘16, promptly tried one and was not impressed as it was high on carbonated gas, rough and linear; it’s now apparent why I shoved it to the back of the cellar and wow, what a difference. Full lemon color with hints of gold; rich, baked red apple, some obvious age, ripeness and complexity; subtle power leaves a great overall impression. It was a great buy at $25!

Color: medium straw Nose: apple juice, lemon, brioche bun being baked. A good mineral streak Palate: high acidity, medium body. Perlage is refined but not ultra persistent. I find yellow apple and crisp brioche crust to be the main character here Finish: medium
At the price I got this, this is very solid. More fresh than autolytic but with enough depth to be interesting. You can drink this all day everyday. That said, I've had champagne that had ever changing, deep nose and palate and this is not it. This is a solid, interesting, versatile piece though, worth stocking as a house sparkler

Retail $50. 100% Chardonnay. We are well into our second case of this wine and it has been fantastic. Excellent, close to a whoa, with consistent notes. Purchased from www.lastbottlewines.com
Very good value at LB price. Attractive green apple and lemon, some nice secondary toasty notes. Almost too effervescent at the start, subsides with time. A good buy.

Retail $50. 100% Chardonnay. A bit golden in the glass, suggesting a bit of age on this non-vintage Blanc de Blancs with loads of baked Granny Smith apple pie with a lovely yeasty, flaky crust. The palate is quite nice as well with a lip-smacking tartness to go along with all that freshly-baked apple pie goodness. I have said dozens of times that I am not a fan of the Blanc de Blancs style, but when it has a bit of age on it (like it seems this bottle does), the body intensifies while the elegance remains. A winning combo in my book.
Popped and poured in to Zalto universals. Golden colored with high clarity. Burnt caramel, vanilla, fresh bread with white flour on it on the nose. Partial continuation of the nose on the palate, but became more lemon peel forward with the yeasty profile as a secondary. Light body with effervescent bubbles that bonded well with good acidity. Slightly disjointed on the nose and lacking depth. Will buy again

Pours a light straw color with nice, persistent bubbles. Bright and full of lemon citrus on the nose.
This sparkler is medium-bodied with a nice vein of acidity running through it. I'll echo some of the other reviews here, as this wine is full of lemon curd, pear, and baked apple/apple pie flavors. Very good concentration and purity of flavor on display here.
Excellent value at $29 from Last Bottle, although $50 at retail price seems a little excessive.

Retail $50. 100% Chardonnay. Another solid bottle, but also another slight deviation from the last bottle. While most of the positive attributes from the last bottle (which I purchased from www.lastbottlewines.com ), it also has that metallic aspect from an earlier bottle that we tried. Thus, this lies somewhere in the middle. Granted, there is not a huge range, but there is some variance, nonetheless.
Strong apple cider character with a note of vanilla/white chocolate, though mostly dry. M body and richness, a bit less than I’d expect from a standard cuvee but a bit more than an average Blanc de Blancs. This is decent but it’s almost completely missing the minerality I want in a Blanc de Blancs.
We paid $29 from Last Bottle and at that price it is okay, not nearly worth retail. I think I’d rather drink the Raventos Blanc de Blancs or some Alsace Cremant that are cheaper even at retail. That said, this does have more stuffing than those wines, more lees character, and since I have two more I’m hoping it will develop with some age. 6.0/10

In Vino Veritas (in wine there is truth; people speak the truth when they are drunk), bottle #89, 90, 91, 92 and 93 of my cellar sacrifices. Had a great dinner the other night with some friends out on the deck. It was a beautiful 70° and sunny and the wine was flowing. We started with two champagnes; a NV Gallimard Pere & Fils, and a vintage 2012 Paul Roger brut rosé. A friend brought the 2009 Glorioso Rioja Reserva and we had a 2012 Domaine Bois De Boursan CDP and a 2014 Old Ghost Zin from Klinker Brick with the meal. We had an outstanding cake desert brought by one of my daughter’s friends and a 1981 Chateau Rieussec Sauternes to accompany it. Needless to say, all the attendees were quite blasted by the end, but we enjoyed some really good wine! Looking forward to getting back to “normal”. 😀🍷🍷🍷👍👍👍 #wine #winelover #winelovers #champagne #zinfandel #sauternes #polroger #rieussec #cdp

Retail $50. 100% Chardonnay. I was away--off to Austin with my older son, visiting the city and campus. My wife had guests. Why? Good question. Who? Better question. I have no no good answers to either question. Luckily, she saved me a glass. Good thing--this might just be the best bottle of this wine thus far. Yeast, lemon, pear, wet rock. This has a wonderful nose and an even (slightly) better palate: tart, fruity, layered. This wine has (slightly) befuddled me with its bottle variation, but this bottle is so fantastic right now I don't care. In the slightest.
And up and down we go. Probably most like the first of the (now) five bottles I've tasted. Still happy with the additional 12 bottles that are coming from Last Bottle.
Retail $50. 100% Chardonnay. I received a case of this wine from Last Bottle and the first bottle was stellar. The second? Also Excellent, but a small step down for sure and this third bottle is yet another step in the wrong direction. This bottle, while containing many of the positive attributes of the previous iterations, it is a bit less rich and also has a metallic aspect, particularly on the finish. Although that seemed to dissipate by the end of the bottle, it was not ideal, particularly when compared to the others. I still have another nine bottles and I am hoping, of course, that this proves to be the anomaly.
Retail $50. 100% Chardonnay. While my notes are consistent with the last bottle, I might have to bump this wine up a point or two. It seems clear to me that this non-vintage Blanc de Blancs has some age on it, which is where I feel the style reaches its apogee. It seems evident that as a BdB ages, it sheds a bit of its finesse and takes on more body, which is certainly the case here. Yowza. thedrunkencyclist.com

Retail $50. 100% Chardonnay. Over the past few years, Last Bottle has sent me two other champagnes from Gallimard and both were quite good. So, it was a no-brainer when this Blanc de Blancs became available. While the Côtes des Bar is best known for its Pinot Noir, this Chardonnay is delightful. Light straw in the glass with a fine and constant sparkle, this wine has plenty of green apple, baked spice, and just a hint of yeastiness. The palate is tart and incredibly fruity, with a bit of apple pie coming in on the mid-palate and racy acidity on the finish. Really a lovely wine. thedrunkencyclist.com

Method: Served at about 48 degrees; pop and pour; Grassl Mineralite glass
Look: a lot of bubbles; medium straw; medium or so viscosity
Nose: apple pie, vanilla, raw pie crust, a bit of cream, pear, a bit of baking spices, some mineral
Palate: raw pie crust, croissant, unripe orchard fruit, mineral; long- finish of pear the fade quickly to mineral and gun smoke; medium+ (maybe medium) body; dry, but not bone dry (low- sweetness); medium- amount of medium- strength bubbles (good, not overpowering attack)l medium acid
Overall thoughts: Great balance, good flavor, and very good mouthfeel with good body and pleasant, but not too strong bubbles. Really great value for $27 from Last Bottle.

Late Afternoon Wines (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): light-medium gold color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. A very solid value at 25 bucks. Not complex, but very tasty. Green apple, fresh, tart apple, light citrus zest, clean minerals, tasty. 89 to 89+pts.

Very pale and youthful color; huge, lively "bolt up the nose" with hint of S02 (match stick); tart apple with some lemon on palate, quite linear. All zip rather than any quality texturally. Puzzled to see that anyone used "delicate" in a note on this. Very simple now, cries out for food. Curious what a few years in the cellar would do(?)

Champagne; 9/20/2010-9/23/2010: Very slender, precise scent and entry of bone dry, apple-fruit Chardonnay. Pure, excellent length, medium finish. Great value at 14,50 Euros au chai. The best champagne tasted in Les Riceys (and untypically for the region, a Chardonnay). Made with fruit from the 2007 vintage. 88P

What’s not to like? Dry, lively bubbles, nice acidity. I’m a fan.

Basic entry level NV champagne. Nothing wrong with it, but very unremarkable. Not much complexity and tastes a bit of rubbing alcohol. Don't pay more than $30.

Color: pale yellow/hay. Bouquet of Lemon zest, minneola, yeast, and slate. Profusion of tiny bubbles. Orange flesh honeydew and lime on tongue. A tiny bit of sourness holds it together magnificently. Lingering finish. $25. - $28? Yes!

Very solid. Lemon vest, mineola, yeast and some minerality on nose. Very diffused bubbles. Complexity on tongue expressed with a subtle sourness balancing sweetness, orange flesh honeydew. Luxurious lingering aftertaste. $28? Yes!

I really enjoyed this tart, somewhat yeasty champagne. We drank it with lobster and steak (champagne seemed like the best match) and that pairing worked better than expected

Easily a good everyday Champagne for the price. Lots of tart green apple and zesty minerality. Good aperitif or even with cheese. Would buy again for $25.

Delicate notes of brioche, lemon cake and chalk on the nose. Perceptible sweetness on the palate which iss comprised of mostly lemon cake with some notes of toast and nutty bitterness on the finish.

From 75cl, musty-smelling composite "cork". Not the best bottle we've had of this very respectable bargain BdB sparkler. More lemon than apple today. 86P

From 75cl. Nice apple fruit with a hefty pinch of white pepper. Get better as it warmed up, always a good sign for any white. 87P

Today, with this bottle, it is the dosage that dominates. Simply too sweet. Otherwise consistent with previous TNs. 86P

Despite being opened straight after driving across France for 7 hours, this was in great shape. Several people at the table grinnned simultaneously, said "apple" or "apfel" or "pomme", and evidently felt happy. 88P
