Quite possibly the best bottle of Sokol Blosser Evolution I've ever tasted. The 11th edition has been my favorite thus far, and I was thrilled when we were served it this evening instead of the 12th. Crisp apple, tart pear, brown sugar and floral essence blend wonderfully and provide a lasting and memorable finish. Couldn't be more pleased!

What is not to love about this wine? Well priced, lots of interesting odors and flavors. Not another boring chardonnay. Nose of melon and nectarine peel, this wine is all about the nectarine at this point. Muscat is clearly taking charge here, generating that mandarine orange (just a hint of oxidatoin) flavors, slightly unripe kiwi with the peel still on (as they eat it in the Caribbean), along with a nice bracing but not obtrusive acidity. Seems like there might be just a hint of residual sugar, mabye at QbA levels. Just fun to drink.

Straightforward white blend that our guests described as a traditional chardonnay (even though it is a blend). That said, this is a good value wine, which is a good thing in a deep recession.

Love this wine and it blows the doors off of Conundrum for half the price. My first experience was the 9th Edition and they are up to Edition 11 now. Candied apple, Chinese Five Spice and butterscotch on the nose of a very clear almost clear quaff. The multiple varietals are well integrated in the 11th Edition, I recall muscat dominating more in the 9th. On the palate, a nice core of acidity, very fruity with citrus (orange), 5-spice and green apple. You can have your Caymus, this wine hits the spot for me. Nearly 5 minutes after finishing I still have lingering notes of mandarin orange. If there is RS in this wine, I cannot find it, which is why I discount certain other TN. This is not supposed to be a varietal so you cannot taste it as such.

Tasted at Wegman's out of a thimble. Not the greatest tasting conditions.
NOSE: A light Gewurz dominates. Clean. I couldn't get subtleties out of the blasted plastic thimble. Not bad. PALATE: Sweet. Reminded me more of Riesling than Gewurz. Pleasant and clean if you don't mind sweetness. I do. PASS. $16.
Varietals:
Gewurz, Chard, Riesling, Semillon, Muscat, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sylvaner, Muller-Thurgau. Proportions - no idea, but Gewurz dominates the nose.
Note: I had this recommended to me as a wine with Gewurz on the nose but not the palate. This is indeed the case, however I'm no fan of off-dry Rieslings, which is what the palate evokes, so this wine fell short for my palate.

Oregon Blends (Every Day Wine): Wild fruit flavors...there are like 9 different varietals in this blend. A little too much fruit for me, I can't nail down any one flavor. Seems very disjointed and confusing. Sweet and dry is all I get.

This crisp and semi-sweet refreshing wine continues to be a favorite, not only with me (us) but with all of our friends. Very crisp with light straw and pear inter-twining deliciously!

Very fruity, but still slightly dry. Peach, banana, apple all compete. Big fruit, but working too hard. Wife, who prefers sweet wines, liked this one a lot.

Drank a glass as part of a flight at Crust pizza & wine bar. Cost $3.30. Very light colour and light nose. Some fruit in the taste (honeydew). The finish is medium in length. Overall, refreshing, with a slightly odd aftertaste. The qpr is average. Good.

Like #9 and #10 before it, I absolutely love this wine. It is so food friendly and is a great summer wine. Floral and tropical fruit notes on the nose, more melon fruits on the palette. Nice acidity, very similar to a viognier or an albarino. Probably my favorite white wine of everything I've tasted. B+/A-

Again this wine has proven its versatility with most types of food and deserts. If you are a Riesling drinker, give this a shot. Nicely chilled, this wine is quickly becoming a favorite. Very crisp and lots of fresh fruit flavor.

Couldn't wait to uncork this bottle after chilling for several hours. We have a WINNER! Very proud of myself for buying nearly a case (to start) and will enjoy drinking this through the summer months. There isn't much this wine won't pair with. Incredibly crisp with a finish that lingers. A new favorite in our house - for the white and red drinker!

Worked well with a four course meal of fondue after a recommendation from the wine steward. Refreshing and crisp. The Riesling came through but was not over-powering. Lovely finish.

Battle of the Blends: Reds and Whites (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had peach, lemon, pear, floral notes, and a small amount of grass. The palate was fat, with citrus, kiwi, pear, spice, and some floral tastes. It had a good finish.

Ripe fruit flavors of kiwi, apple and a bit of pear. Only real negative was a very short tail. Otherwise a nice, "down the middle" chardonnay.
