Pleasant and correct but boring; almost clafoutis like in its red fruit and brioche but there’s really not much there. Followed closely for a couple of hours and revisited later in the evening without improvement.

This was excellent stuff. Vinous and delicious but vibrant at the same time. Definitely get some redder fruit from the Pinot but also lots of earthy and mineral notes.

Pretty unimpressed with this. The mousse is restrained, if not scaled back about 20%. Unbalanced flavors, a slightly metallic note on the finish. Really nothing to particularly like about it. It will be a party wine - no one will care.

Disgorged 1/17. Creamy on the nose with restrained cherry-laden fruit and baking spices. Understated more than anything. The mousse is mouth-fillingly rich, revealing a wine that is anything but. Bone dry with pure, fresh red fruit and a degree of vinosity. There is a slight bitterness to it and the finish gets a bit thin, lacking both flavor and texture. The label states dosage to be less than 5 g/l and I feel like the wine would have undoubtedly benefited from more.

Clear light yellow, great mousse. Funky cheese nose at first, then rich red apple, red cherry and more burgundian funk. Delicious red fruit and green apple flavours and a long textured dry finish.

Again, like the other Godme NV cuvees, this is blend of vintages, yet this is 100% PN. The base wines are 2009--12, with 15%, 10%, 15% and 60%, respectively. Dosage of between 3-4 g/l. And like the NV B de B cuvee, this is raised for the 1str ferment in oak cask, roughly 70% for six months. I really dug this wine, as it shows a black cherry and creamy quality, along with plum and the same salty/saline quality of the B de B in the finish. Delicious.

Very slight orange tinge to a golden color. Leesy, doughy, apple and lemon nose. Medium minus body with considerable textural interest. Lemon, apple, cherry skin, porcini, smokiness, and mineral substrate. Finish is quite long. 91-92+

Bigger wine with plenty of yeastiness, apple skin, and a touch of charred toast. Lovely dry finish. Agree that this is a little on the earthy-side of things which I don't mind. Solid if you like BdN.

Champagne: (degustato alla cieca) Delicato, mostra una commistione di gesso e calcare, poi la mela cotogna, decisamente evoluto. Molto fresco ma trovo anche in bocca note eccessive di ossidazione. Manca qualcosa in persistenza e sapidità.

This showed beautifully. Very slightly copper-tinged color. Pretty nose of yeast, minerals, and strawberry. In the mouth, this shows off very impressive cherry fruit, lightly toasty-yeasty notes, and plenty of minerals. Just the sort of Champagne that combines complexity and sheer pleasure in a rare way. Grower Champagne Dinner (Chambar): 100% Pinot Noir mainly from the 2005 vintage. Light yellow colour. Nose of apple with doughy and smoky notes and hints of cinnamon. In the mouth the texture is fairly soft but the apple and citrus flavours are crisp with great acidity and minerality. This has nice weight to it and good depth. Very young and should be excellent in a few years. Very good. 89+

Disgorged March 2010. Great attack of crisp apple. The pinot shows through on the finish with flavors of apple and black current. As it warms up I am getting a distinct wonder bread toast smell. Nice balance of acidity and minerality. Showing some floral notes in the mid pallet and on the finish.

My Birthday Dinner (Imperial Treasure Cantonese Cuisuine, Great World City): Light golden colour, lifted bouquet of peach, yeast and mineral. Quite full on the palate, showing intense flavours of honey wax and biscuity. Good long finish. This is very enjoyable and drinking nicely now. Good aperitif before the reds.

Champagne at Red Slate; 11/13/2009-11/19/2009: Great nose here with lots of apple pie and mineral scents. This delivers some full and bright apple flavors that start out heavy and ripe. Then, on the mid palate, the acid comes into full bloom and everything becomes crisp and clean while maintaining the great fruit from before! Everything wraps up with a mouth watering finish containing some nice minerality. Rockin' 92-

nose: really good nose with bits of toast, yeast, white fruits, bits of roses, cherries, and white peach tones with a touch of minerals
taste: subtle and tasty tones of white fruits, bits of white peach tones, yeast, and minerals. Good depth with a real nice medium feel and medium acidity
overall: a real good NV bubbly. Very refreshing with a nice classy touch to it. Good bubbles at first, but looked more like a still wine in the glass, though the effervescence was certainly on the palate. nice depth and comes across as good for food while being tasty at teh same time. Disgorgement listed on the Cork as 7/03, this held up fairly well with the age, but was probably better a couple of years ago. A good experiment with how NV grower champagnes can age as it also possesed a nice light gold color to it

Low-key Tasting Group does Champagne at Le Pichet (Seattle, WA, USA): At first this took some getting used to, as the Blanc de Noirs style was clearly much heavier with more palate weight and intensity. However, this had a creaminess and intensity to it that made it hard not to like. Shawn referred to this as a "jacuzzi wine" and I understand why. Probably my 3rd favorite of the tasting.
