Real deep crimson. Lovely strong black fruit on the nose. Real depth to the nose. Spice, faint pirazine, herb, sweet sweet ripe friut, vanilla, tobacco and cedar. Nose grew with more air. Palate is quite a reflection of the nose. Very ripe black fruit, tannins soft but giving support, acidity judged perfectly, finish is long, satisfying and flavorsome. Quite full bodied. I really like this. Given the palate structure, I feel it has such potential for aging and upside.

Still very dark purple in colour with only a tiny bit of bricking. A powerful nose of blackfruits, mint and oak notes. The palate is still powerful as well, medium to full bodied, with similar flavours as the noise on show. A bold, exuberant wine, as Majella cabs normally are. But they do settle down a little with some age, as this one has, although it's still a big wine with some overt oak notes remaining. But the fruit, tannins, acid and oak are pretty well balanced, and this should last quite a while yet (A-).

Deep red in colour, the nose is restrained with graphite and blackurrant .
The wine is medium bodied showing cassis and blackberry, but lacks the depth on the finish that one would expect from the 2006 vintage, there is also a slight metallic twang. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2012-2017)

Very dark in colour. The nose shows intense sweet black fruit and violets. Very fruit forward but a bit unbalanced with unintegrated acidity. Definite new world and Australian style Cabernet Sauvignon. Certainly, not my my cup of tea.
Extremely exuberantly cassis-fruited. Like blackcurrant liqueur. Not as deep textured as the 2005. Somewhat too acidic, and lacking in sweetness (both of ripened tannins and of actual residual sugar). Unsure about the potential for bottle-age.

Black fruits and sweet oak aroma. Fresh citrusy flavours are very fresh and keep the wine from feeling overdone. Tannins are ripe but a bit too noticeable given the style here.

Absolutely terrific at this price, and not overblown like many other Aussie wines.
Floral nose, with a leafy/minty quality to it. On the palate, the wine displays rich texture, with purple fruits, plums and a long finish supported by ripe tannins.

Still young, yet a very solid well rounded wine. Great fruit, bold tannins, incredibly sound wine.
