Pale green tinged lemon. Subtle understated pineapple, peach, a gentle thread of spice and stony mineralite, some hints of kelp and saline. Acidity quite brisk. A pleasant surprise given how many oxidised bottles I've had.

Given previous oxidised bottles opened this for cooking but pleasantly surprised. Light golden. Buttered toast on the nose with some mineral hints. Palate had pleasant almond butter, with some background hints on lemon, verbena and honeysuckle.

Takes a lot of coaxing to open up then very much marching to the beat of its own drum? Very reticent nose, jasmine, lactic hints, leatherwood honey. Initially very reticent palate progresses with air to reveal understated Meyer lemon, lime brûlée, cream, custard, ginger and (maybe I'm being a little fanciful here) rose water and Australian native quandong nuts. One to be sipped over a number of hours as it continues to transform?

Tasted this on release, loved it and bought a couple of cases. Last night we had our last bottle. This is splendid Bourgogne that absolutely over-delivers. I cant recall ever having one that was remotely oxidised. It has taken on just a hint of butter and toast development. It is pure and understated with white peach, lemon and rockmelon fruit. It has good detail, decent volume and finishes dry and minerally.

Compelling wine. Best on day two with plenty of air. Lysergically baroque in structure, the nose and palate offer up a virtual cornucopia of slatey white yellow stone fruit, lemon lime, burnt whipped cream, curd and whey. This stunningly complex bourgogne would best many a village Meursault without breaking a sweat. Can't believe that this is my last of six. Absolutely spectacular showing.

Maturing lemon and lime with some tart apple. Subtle spice. Still showing firm structure. I haven't had this wine since shortly after release, but liked it better back then. I have a couple of bottles left and will revisit again soon.

Just one more bottle left of 2 cases…still pleases the Roulot on the cheap! Creamy and still quite bright, showing the classic Roulot lime, sour green apple skin, crushed minerals….a little chalk, meyer lemon pie…all in a mellow, somewhat simple feel, but more village than regional in taste. To be honest…as it opens and comes to cellar temp…it really starts to show more of a higher level Meursault! I'm going to miss these guys when I polish off the last one…might just have to pony up the more $ they go for now, and get another case!

As usual a great bottle of Bourgogne blanc that is really like drinking a baby meursault. Great suppleness on the palate, everything balanced with still a hint of oak, but in a good spot to drink now I believe. Wish I had more!!

Not a great showing. Way too much oak on the first night. Dissipated to a good degree by the second night, the oak is still there but it's tolerable, and the prickly texture that is oak-derived is pretty cool. Did not show well on the third night, flat middle and sharp on the sides. Overall, I think I would much rather open another 2008 Roulot BB right now.

Gained quite a bit of weight after a year, smells like a Meursault wine with slight toast and oakiness, still fresh. Light to medium body and not much depth but overall very good quality for its level.

High acidity, minerality and lemon drops, which are good, but muddled fruit, which is not good. Also, it's coarse on the palate. By the second night, the oak notes show. Not a good showing. This bottle suggests to drink now and not age further.

I went through many bottles of this wine in '09 and '10 and watched its gradual progression, drinking the balance of my bottles because I found it to be losing freshness, and taking on more mature notes. Then, in February 2011, Michel opened a bottle and I was surprised by how mineraly and acidic that bottle showed. This most recent bottle was more in-line with February's bottle and once again showed huge minerality and acids. I liked the briskness a lot. However, this bottle made me think of a crater - a depression at the center that corresponded with a shortness of full fruit, while the high walls of the crater corresponded to the high minerality and acidity. Thankfully, not much oak or toasty notes. Drink now.

Light straw colour. Somewhat restrained on the nose, but a little smokiness, yellow apples and citrus fruit coming trough. A bit hollow on the mid palate, but finishes off nicely with refreshing acidity. Nothing spectacular, but a solid “everyday white Burgundy”.

This was a little more oaky than I remembered, both on the nose and the palate. N: Smoky, oaky, yellow apples, still relative fresh. P: More oak and less minerals/stone than last time. However, the wine is extremely well balanced with fruit and acid, all the way from its beginning to its extremely long finish. The finish of bright, pure apples lasts forever and makes this a fantastic wine.

Man, this has shut down hard since last time. Took 2 days to show anything. Lovely nose with elegant oak, very light hazelnut. A touch mineral, palate is lifted by a great lemony acidity with some green apple. Long finish. Smoky. Reminds me of a light baby Meursault. Typical Roulot style. Very good as usual once it's opened.

I've sucked down over a case of this..and it continues to be my favorite BB! I'm mean COME ON.....to be able to drink Roulot for under $20....I'd drink this all day long! Room temp is key.....very creamy, yet killer pucker of lemon tarts, key lime pie, green apples. Super crushed mineral stones, lemon/lime citrus acidity...making this wine really refreshing. Little complexities of soap suds, blanched almonds, smoky flint. Baby Meursault....drink it by the gallon!

Another bottle down, and again I see the progression in this wine already. In less than a year, it seems to have evolved from clear fruit to golden yellow fruit, and is now showing more toastiness than the transparent palate it showed earlier, and I ascribed all this to fast aging. But what I now suspect may be going on is that it is showing more like Meursault, with hazelnut, toast and a more golden yellow than clear palate. Still, the acidity is rather sharp, and it's not fat nor excessively oaky apart from the toastiness. It's not at all bad, and the taster gets a Meursault show at a fraction of the Meursault price, but my specific tastes are more Chablis than Meursault, more clear and cut and taut, than toast.

I've been through a few bottles of this wine, and this is the first that may be showing its oak . . . and I write that with hesitation, because I have no idea if this wine sees any oak . . . but it's not as crystalline clear as prior bottles, showing some straw notes and a roundness rather than than the razor-like cut of prior bottles. Still a good Bourgogne Blanc, but this bottle is not showing the clarity nor the precision or cut of prior bottles.

Lovely for level - that Cote d'Or richness, but with a Chablisesque minerality. Light oak notes, pear and limey citrus with some hazelnut and a hint of flint. Really as good a basic Bourgogne blanc as I've ever had. B++

Tight with tart crystalline flavors of lemon-lime-green apple dominating the middleweight palate, only the slightest hint of hazelnut/almond peeks through on the finish. This is pure and clean with plenty of zip. I would expect this to develop nicely over the next couple of years.

Goddamn, how about that gorgeous, pure nose. Not as opulent as the nose on the Colin-Morey Bourgogne last night, but there's a slight sulphurous, smoky metal quality not that different from burnt popcorn or roasted almonds that's nice. Quite acid and lively. Paired admirably w/trout amandine. Lemony wood on palate as well a touch. Months later I have fond memories of this. What a steal at $20--too bad they got wise at Sherry Lehmann.

Had along with the '05 Roulot Meursault Les Meix Chavaux.....and you really can tell the difference! The BB is a killer starter though. Gives you a little snapshot of what you are in for with Roulot Meursault. Crisp, clean, minerals, flint and lemons....classic Roulot flavors. TOTALLY happy drinking this wine....while waiting for an occasion to pop the Meursault! Btw....this is the 6th bottle of this I've had....and it continues to get better.

Really zippy out of the gate, with lots of pepper notes, odd for Chardonnay. Angular. I like the '06 more today - better clarity, better delivery, more round and friendly today - but the '07 may show better in another year or two.

My notes are consistent with most here - on the nose, slight butter and nuttiness, and tart acidity that tickles the nose. On the palate, this is a nice, light, lemony bourgogne with hints of floral, almond, hazelnut, and a tiny bit of honeyed sweetness that comes out every once in a while. Very good stuff- would happily buy again - P liked this. 89-91

TN: 07 Roulot Borgougne Blanc, 03 Christoffel Auslese, 07 Delas CdR (San Francisco, CA): Had Tuesday night. Opened and immediate hint of matchsticky sulfur that needed a little time to blow off. But this is a terrific, very crisp, focused wine. Minerals, lime skin, and a hint of almonds with the seashell and glycerin. Very nice wine for the $22 or so dollars paid.

Well...after having 4 bottles of the '06 within the last 4 months, and LOVING everyone....I was highly anticipating the '07. Thought this was a better Vintage than the '06...but this wine is a little lighter and muted than the '06. Might need that year of age to come out fully?? Still, these Roulot Bourgogne's are high toned with lemon sour acidity, stones galor, and a slight nuttiness. The '07 has more of a "lemon water" to it, crisp acidity, nice white florals, some vanilla and pear as well. Reminds me of Roulot...just not as "Meursault-like" as the '06. Less smoky flint, and hazelnut? Don't get me wrong...still a wonderful expression of Chardonnay, and a wine I can drink all day long! I just thought it would be better than the '06? Maybe next year it will.

Delicious BB with flavors of lemon zest, bright acidity and minerality, very complex for a wine at this level. Will hold the rest for another year.

Young and very wound-up, but quite delicious. Love the purity and restrained richness. I only have a couple more and will try to hold them another year or two as I'd like to see how this develops.

Tightly wound with a solid core of acidity. Lime zest. Chalk, mineral, almond, and a slight creaminess. Very good.

Practically as good as it gets for AOC Bourgogne. Crisp, pure, and chalky.

From cask: Some sophistication on the nose, with lovely spicy orchard fruit. Good class. Medium full and very finely poised. Lovely succulent fruit, a touch of minerality. Good balance and finish. Punches above its weight, as ever. 3+
