Beautiful color that was deep red. Nose has slight barnyard and wet grass. In the mouth, very fruit forward with flavors of sweet cherry, cranberry and pomegranate. Soft tannins and slightly dry the finish shows wet oak and some tartness of the cranberry. Finish is quite nice and long.

P n p. Initially a bit angular w sharp back end. Tannins? Over the 2 hours that we had at rest. it did soften up some. Good typicality for Sonoma Pinot. Not offensive nor of putting, just not a special bottle. Disappointing in that I bought this in an auction. Provenance? Too old?

Vinturied into decanter, consumed over 4 hours. Nose: Initially dominated by raspberry, black raspberry, and cola - later displayed yummy bubble-gum aromas. Palate: Medium- plus bodied, showing bright red fruit, good acidity, early on some harsh notes appeared toward the back-end - within a few hours smoothed out considerably. Finish: Medium plus length finish dominated by lively and tasty red fruit.

A perfectly drinkable unsophisitcated california pinot. nice acidity and good cherrry/plum flavors. nothing particularly special or noteworthy, and a bit unidimensional as in many new world pinot noirs, but nonetheless completely enjoyable.

Lightweight, smooth, balanced pinot with nice flavors of strawberry, cherry, spice and oak. Much smoother and not as much acidity as in some prior bottles. This was somewhat straightforward, but also really enjoyable and easy to drink. Wish I had more.

Wow! Quaffer of a Pinot. I know don't think Russian river Pinot is varietally correct...but it sure is tasty. Intense flavors of black cherry and cola rule the day in this full bodied wine. I just love it! Cheers.

This bottle was better than a previous one -- super smooth, great balance, good grip, flavors and aromas of cherry, earth and spice. Nice, slightly acidic finish. None of the rough edges I experienced in a prior bottle. Amazing QPR.

Simple, but nice rich flavors of cherry and oak, medium body, and an acidic finish. Just a bit rustic and clumsy, but still very enjoyable. Good QPR at $25.

Dark crimson in the glass. On the nose, very savory tones of blueberry, blackberry and black plum. Some dark floral notes as well. Bigger style palate. Powerful and dark. Hints of dark chocolate with dark berry fruit and some spice. A tad tight yet, but not too tannic either. - Tasted at Khoury's 7/7/10

Rich, smoked ham with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Dark and integrated, medium to full bodied, it really opened up on the second night, excellent QPR.

Darker ruby color. Dusty and tight with a firm grip of dried fruits-cherry,raspberry and dark ripe strawberry-and a sense of outdoors like a fire in the distance. Well done, attractive price. 14% alcohol.

Popped and poured - consumed over 4 hours. Nose: With a good swirl the strawberry notes come to the forefront with raspberry, cotton candy, and hint of earthiness. Palate: Medium bodied, with raspberry and cranberry upfront - mid-palate shows candiness with darker red fruits on the back end - pomegranate. Finish: Dominated by the darker red fruits - medium length. Another excellent 2007 Sonoma Pinot - well worth $25.

Popped and poured. Medium-plus ruby hue. Forward, uncomplicated aromas of sappy fruits (black cherry, raspberry), red currant, cinnamon stick, and a touch of forest floor. Medium-plus body, very smooth on the palate with a nice core of ripened red and black fruits plus notes of spice, anise, and a touch of clove. Tannins and acidity are in balance. Moderate finish. Certainly a QPR selection for Pinot Noir in the $20 - $25 range.

We enjoyed this bottle. Good dark fruit, almost would have believed that this had something stronger like syrah blended with it. Moderately complex, not the smoothest middle or the longest finish. Definitely would drink again though.

Pinots, Pinots, and Pinots! (Farpointe Cellar): This nose was very jammy, with a preponderance of blackberry, black currant, ad black cherry. It ended with smoked meats, licorice, and forest floor. The palate had great grip, with earthy flavors, blackberry, cherry, and a smoky finish.

Purple red color. Cherries, cherries, cherries, strawberries and a hint of earthy pine needle on the nose. Cherry, raspberry, light spice and earthy cola taste. Moderate tannins with well balanced acidity leading to a long fruity finish. Drinking very nicely right now and will get better. This is very much in the style of a Eola-Amiy Hills sub-appellation Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley - which are my personal favorites.

Quite purple and dark. Tons of cherries on the nose with notes of strawberry and some cooking spices and licorice. Great balance on the palate. Might have guessed this as a Syrah/Pinot blend. Will definintely show better in six months. I'd love to try it again, but probably wouldn't buy again.

Nose of cherry, black cherry, cranberry, and baking spice. Palate offers cherry, raspberry, pepper, and a hint of cola. Refreshing acidity. Long finish. A lovely wine, although a bit one dimensional. Bodes well for '07 as a vintage for California pinot noir.
