Initially some reduction, no surprise there. Blows off fairly quickly and beautiful, soft, mellow red fruit expresses. Palate has that same pretty red fruit, with a sweet spice/earth note. Delicious.

Keeps getting more perfumed. Orange fruit, earthy, slight salinity. On the palate quite energetic and sweet, classic vintage. Thin and short not unexpected for a village wine. 91-92

Absolutely right in the zone right now. So pure and fresh with notes of cherries, raspberries, minerals and purple flowers. It is fine and lacy with a sweet core and outstanding rocky detail. It finishes with good cut.

Opened last night. Strong burnt rubber and prune mix on nose, but relatively clean in mouth. Fruit is bright and clear - cherry and raspberry. Decided to hold for 2nd night at 55 degrees. Second night: Strange nose has blown off and now resides in back of the glass. Oak has provided structure but isn't overwhelming (I am very sensitive to oak), fruit is still bright and fresh and finish lasts 20-30 secs.
I am very pleased with where this bottle went with 24 hours. I have 4 bottles and plan to open the next in 1-2 years.

Gorgeous sweet aroma that smells like cranberries and cherries that have been dusted with icing sugar. There are also notes of sweet meat and menthol. It is pure, rocky and detailed in the mouth with reasonable flesh and a big lick of minerally acid to the finish.

Classy stuff. Decanted 4 hours. Very juicy and mouthwatering, with a seamless, silky mouthfeel. Spicy nose. The deep red belies a light touch on the palate. Sour cherry, strawberry and creme de cassis. Nice acidity and a chewy tannin, but just a bit oakier than I would have preferred. Nonetheless, a lovely wine.

Quite a high usage of stems here and it shows with its delightful stemmy, floral, sappy lift. There are plum and cherry fruits and it is rich, has good volume and excellent cut from abundant acidity.

Really lovely juice. The first night the wine exhibited a lot of stemmy/rooty type aromatics - by day two they are gone, and red fruits and spice come to the forefront. This is seamless from front to back - great crunch and sap to the fruit.

Nose started off with lots of pepperoni and red florals. Very meaty and dense pinot at first that took a long time to begin unravelling. By hour 5 this just took off! The body of the wine is complex with red fruit, lithe dried leaves, minerals and red florals woven together beautifully. Silky on the palate, this is already a beautiful village cuvee but will soften up with 5-7 years of aging.

Another Friday Afternoon @ Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage - Chicago, IL): Nose is just filled with dark fruits, and warm spices. I found the palate more oaky than I had anticipated. The red fruits were there, the earth was there...but good lord, so was the oak.

Leiden in Burgundy November 2011; 11/3/2011-11/5/2011: Sweet soft nose, red fruit, smoky, caramel, leather, similar taste as nose, good finish, low tannins. Still young.

Weygandt Tasting NYC (Astor): Light and soft, pinot fruit and cassis, peculiar "popcorn" and light leather. So pleasant on finish. Yum.
