Tasty bitter cherry and red currant fruit, nice earth and hints of tar on the nose, long tasty finish. Solid 90 points. Still hanging in nicely, though this is my last bottle :(

Amazing - virtually unchanged in 5 years. Drinking very fresh and vibrant from my cellar. Just delicious. If you combine Anthony Galloni's and Ian d'Agata's notes on this wine, you nail it perfectly. Yum.

This is still holding on to it's fruit but it's clear that time will not improve this wine. I'd drink it sooner rather than later. Still the dark cherry flavors mix with leather and tertiary notes. Good QPR.

solid midweek CC; decent length, solid acidity and good sangi secondary flavors. wine also had a good earthy, drier tannin texture. not spectacular but solid.

Tart red fruit nose, good weight and feel, earth, leather, and red fruit palate, and some refined but chewy and drying tannins on the finish. Good wine and still very primary.

Surprisingly good! Very well balanced. Rich strawberry mouthfeel that approaches jam ... more like the soft interrior of a hard candy. Rustic tannins yet in balance with med+ acidity and rich ripe fruit.

Tasty complex Chianti - maybe a little dry and bitter - but goes well with food (saltimboca). Nice dry bitter red cherry fruit with long lasting finish. Delicious.

This wine gets better every time I taste it. Served with spicy spaghetti and sausage, an initial nose and flavors of gooseberries, leather, blackberries and strawberries, with relatively soft moderate tanins and good length. Quite a nice Chianti and I will have to try the 2008.

This wine is drinking nicely but is still a bit early (in my opinion) This is one of my favorite Chianti Classico that I discovered when we visited the winery in 2007. The finish on this wine is wonderful, dry and lingering. At optimum time, I expect it will rate another point or two higher.

Really nice Chianti. It has enough tannin to give it that satisfying chewiness, but this is plush and refined by Chianti standards without being formless or internationalized - it's just pure fruit well put-together.

Decanted for 3 hours. Nose has cherry, hint of strawberry mixed with healthy dose of leather with hint of cedar. Palate is restrained. Cherry and leather. Some medium tannins present. A slight menthol note on finish. Nice acidity. Great tomato sauce / pizza wine.

Very typical Sangiovese fruit on the nose, bright acidity and rustic tannins on the finish. A fine, traditionally styled Chianti. I liked it very much.

- Ruby color - Amazing value....drank after finishing a well aired Barbi Brunello 2006....the Bossi was much better.....more complex, integrated and loaded with nose and flavor. A great Chianti!

Excellent chianti in this price range. Dark ruby, lovely chianti nose of spices and cherries, full, round mouth feel, excellent length. The other reviewers are correct, buy it by the case.

100% Sangiovese. Great aroma. This has been modified in the winery moving the wine past the herbal, herbaceous character young regular CC can exhibit. While it has obviously seen some oak, it's not oaky and definitely not toasty. The fruit is deep and generalized for its age showing sandalwood, background flowers and cherry. With air some oily petrol character develops. Overall the fruit is reminiscent of a riserva or Brunello. In the mouth it is full, polished, ripe, balanced, lacks acidic pucker, really good but maybe not typical, or more accurately, reflects the vintage. It's good now after about 30 minutes and will be good later. Upside.

I will reiterate that this is the best sub $20 bottle of wine I have had in years. Equally as good as my first this past March, i wish I would have bought a case of these.

Clean, elegant and flavorful. Translucent ruby purple color; fruity nose of cherries and berries with a pretty floral petunia note; pure, tangy, full red and purple fruit flavors holding well through the midpalate, wonderful chewy tannins for balance, and a long fruity finish. Delicious, and a tremendous value. Much, much better after the first day - give it time to evolve.

Sweet dark fruit up front, followed by leafy tobacco, herbs and leather, with a long finish and great balance. The lively acidity make this a great food wine, but there is enough in the way of body, texture and tannins to make my taste buds tingle render this a great stand alone drink as well.

flat out delicious. Zippy but round, full bodied and with great flavor profile from beginning to end. Not much tannin on this one. Will drink well for at least 3 more years.

Flipper needs to start drinking beer or over-extracted and oak chipped Cali's or something. This is as good as the reviews suggest; everything you could ask for in a Chianti. This is just as you would expect from reading the other CT reviews and the professional reviewers. Delicious and gorgeous to drink now. Yum!

I agree with the WA review completely. A great bargain, this wine is delicious and drinks well above its price range. Leather, herbs and red fruits dominate the nose and palate. I love when wines like this perform this well; blind this would kill many at 5x its price. If you can find it, but a dozen. Update: Even better a day later. This is probably the best $15 bottle of wine I have ever had....Great stuff, drinking fantastic right now.
