Fully mature and showing notes of oxidation (shellac and beautiful golden color), it is drinking like an old school white Rioja. Perfect for Thanksgiving turkey.

Taut and one-dimensional when opened, we wisely determined to set it aside for a bit. Revisited two hours later over dinner, the wine stood up and shouted "don't ever doubt me again"! Rich, complex, with impressive acidity and a killer finish. Surely the alcohol level is at least 16%, I don't care what they say...

A very interesting and somewhat complex white wine. As others have observed, very viscous mouthfeel. The "front" of the taste was lemon and alcohol, and the "backend" was lemon zest, marjoram with a hint of limestone. It paired very well with cold salmon and a corn salsa with toasted ancho pepper. Enjoy!

More than just a bit over the top, but some really nice components to this wine...though it does not seem to be very food friendly. On day 2 my opinion solidifies, interesting wine with some nice components but overwhelms and lacks nuance and grace. i know the will be some folks that love this and it is well made, but just not my style....

Honey suckle, pineapple and kiwi on the palette and nose. Wine blew me away. Lovely dense yellow color and very viscous on the mouth feel. Powerful wine w/ elegant touches. Long finish. Just simply tasty.

A lovely, honey colored white with aromatics featuring stone fruits and lemon curd. Delicious honeysuckle and focused peach blossom knit together with citrus peel on frame of wet stone. Unique concrete techniques went into making this wine. Booker tasting room - Paso Robles Harvest Festival.

A Detour To Paso Robles: Booker & Linne Calodo (Paso Robles, CA): This may have been served slightly warm and the nose certainly shows it with rich oily impressions of citrus and stones. The palate is heavy and alcoholic with plenty of oak to go with the yellow fruit and mineral undertones. Comes across as a Chateauneuf Blanc from a hot vintage and not in a good way. Certainly not my style but may appeal to those who prefer rich heavy whites. 65% Roussanne, 35% Viognier.

Color: dark... almost looks like a cognac. Nose: really interesting... floral, some lemon, some kind of fresh herbs. Taste: This tastes like Belgian beer. Yeast, lemon, anise. Almost nutty on the finish (pine nuts? arugula?). Flavor is intense. Finish is astoundingly long for a white. Very well made, but needs a pairing to bring out its best.

A blend of 60% Roussanne and 40% Viognier. Golden yellow color. Floral nose with some notes of honeycomb. Tastes of apple, melon, and lime. Full bodied with a dense mouthfeel. Rich finish with nice depth and complexity.

i had this wine several months back and thought that it was one of the finest dry whites that i ever had. this time, not so good. it seemed a bit disjointed and the concentration just wasn't there. perhaps it will resolve itself soon.

Beautiful flowery nose. Firm and structured, this would benefit from more time in the bottle. The acidity makes it an excellent food wine. Pear and pineapple flavors. Similar to a Chateauneuf de Pape Blanc.

DRANK AT A DINNER WITH OWNER ERIC JENSEN IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ATLANTA HIGH MUSEUM AUCTION. perhaps the best dry white that i've ever had. half of the wine was left on the lees until fermentation completed.

Exotic spice, floral notes, peaches, lychee, and mineral - quite an unique combo indeed. Holding up well. Medium finish. Singular.

This is a huge white wine. Needs time for the alcohol to settle. Bit too oaky for me. Very aromatic and concentrated with good mouthfeel though.

Great extraction, good texture with classic Roussanne notes, butter and Creme. However the alcohol is very noticeable, so the jury is still out.
