Opened bottle and poured after a couple hours. Beautiful color - light yellow but dense. This was from a perfectly kept bottle part of a 6-bottles OWC. The nose is delicate with patchouli, lavender, sage, Mayer lemon, not much oak.
Palate is still fresh, with nice acidity and rich notes of custard, nectarines, and nascent tertiary notes of leather to make it complex and layered.
The ending is long with spice and oaky notes.
In a great spot, very enjoyable and likely at or near pick, but no rush to drink it if you have well-kept bottles. This should keep easily a few years more.

A great wine to drink now while the more structured vintages like 2008 mature in the cellar. This wine is fleshy and and pungent, “slutty” is the best way I have heard it described. This is a typical characteristic of the 2009 vintage in Chablis. In spite of these characteristics, this wine maintains the typical saline and tidal pool characteristics that I love about Chablis. Drink now.

Given the almost 17% flaw rate for this wine, and our mixed experience with Fevre Chablis from the 00s, we opened our bottle with low expectations -- but were pleasantly surprised. PnP, chilled, but the wine did open somewhat in the glass. Some aromas of lemon and minerality. The medium to plus bodied palate yielded lots of lemon, some green apple, minerality, and juicy acidity. Ready to be enjoyed now, don't risk waiting.

No formal note, this is a rich, expressive bottle, with strong layers of stonefruit and acidity. The finish on this is epic, lasting well after the last sip.

Very pale yellow. Deep, expansive fruit from the '09 vintage but has significant acidity and complexity combined with high quality oak. Better than the last bottle I had, which seemed a bit more advanced. This bottle displayed what I would hope for from a Grand Cru Chablis... power with nuance. Good bottles like this one will go another 3-5+ years without effort.

Eden Hill with friends. Light yellow. Toasty vanilla and complex citrus notes on the nose. A touch of richness in the mouth from the oak notes, but this is smooth and well balanced by an underlay of firm acidity and a bright quality. Very good bottle; seemed to be at a peak this night, though the oak seemed more advanced than I expected. We lingered over this through the early part of dinner; Cauliflower "Chilaquiles" and Quileute Salmon.

Big forward fruit; has length and depth. Finish is classy Chablis - chalk, acid. Complex and long.

Sharp green fruit on the nose. Great body, sharp acidity kept in balance, with wet stones on the palate. Long finish.

(Mostly) Grand Cru Chablis Dinner (GT Fish & Oyster - Chicago IL): An odd bottle, possibly slightly corked given how it started off poorly and stripped of fruit and then rapidly declined. But not "classically" corked.

Young but starting to drink and enjoyable at this stage. Vibrant fruit and structure. Should improve with a bit more age.

Ripe but not blousy or showy. Solid wine showing very well on its own or with food.

Compared to the Vaudesir from Louis Michel, this simply has more of everything. Estimated maturity: 2015+
