Château Margaux Mini-Vertical (Eddy V’s, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida): Peter R.’s bottle. Astoundingly fresh at age 20 and thrillingly devoid of oxidation. Medium yellow. A touch of oyster shell but not really austere. Light-medium weight, slightly soft. Delightful. With a bit more acidity it would gain even more in freshness. No end in sight for this Premier Cru.

Lemon oil, honeysuckle and a bit of salt and chalk on the scent. Beautiful honey gold color. Good concentration, seemless and smooth on the palate. Meyer lemon, lemon peel and rainwater flavors. Nice length on the smooth, well integrated finish. Probably past peak but still drinking well. Very nice Chablis.

Drank at Seaside Johnnys and was duly impressed. Bold golden color, nose of some citrus and minerality. Medium bodied, lots of fruit, though not overripe. I'm presuming this wine was aged in stainless steel as I didn't get any wood here. Good minerality, round mouthfeel, good length. Far from being lean or restrained as I think chablis usually are, this is a much bigger and bolder wine than I expected of this well-aged chablis, and was quite impressive. I've had several Vergets over the years, and this is not my favored chablis producer, but I will say that this wine hit the target--if not exactly what one would expect of a chablis. Great fruit, matched perfectly with solid acidity and minerality, making for a wonderfully complex, satisfying, easy to enjoy wine. A real crowd pleaser too

This was my first experience with this level of Chablis. It was very impressive. I have never tasted anything like it. Thick and unctuous on the nose, reminded me very much of a Sauterns with baked apricot, honey, and mineral. Very golden color. The fruit almost explodes in your mouth, with rich concentrated, mature, honeyed citrus, peach and apricot. Incredible mouth feel, So smooth, but still plenty of acid to give it some kick. could last much longer. Great balance on the finish that lasts a couple of minutes, with candied fruit and acid, and mineral. Close to my personal favorite all time white wine.

Fantastic wine -- a delicious chablis at its peak. Nose was very complex, yet still had a lightness -- stony fruits, minerals, very long. Great acidity and balance on the finish. Yum.

Medium gold color. Orchard fruits, citrus, and some minerality on the palate. A light touch of oak. Doesn't have the focus and precision of a truly outstanding Chablis, but still a good value.

This wine was just stunning last night, with salmon. Medium straw; very aromatic nose with ripe fruit but the mineral / dusty aromas one expects with chablis; all sorts of citrus notes and hints of vanilla here. Rich and concentrated in the mouth with tremendous balance, grip and length, and acidity to give it the lift required to balance all the stuffing.

Another impressive bottle of this outstanding chablis. Pale straw. Nose of lime, minerals, floral aromas, bread. Long and very fine with outstanding cut and lift. Just great!

I loved this wine...really opened up over about two hours. Color is medium straw gold. Nose reveals baked apple, lemon, spice, and a green chardonnay streak. On the palate lemon, green sap, mineral, and spice combine with a good backbone of acidity to make up a most satisfying drink.

Classic Vaillons, ripe and plush, a little minty, meat stock, pears, very glyceral and 02. Opened out of fear for premox but not this bottle.

Truly at a high point if not at a peak. Wonderful aged white Burgundy. Stone fruits with acidity on the finish.

Nice chardonnay, nondescript Chablis. Orchard fruits, decent structure and length. Enjoyable.

A very attractive chablis in a crisp, minerally style with a hint of citrus (lime) and a rich, satiny finish.
