N Rhone Feast (Noizé): Served blind - we knew it was Condrieu. A bit plusher than the second wine, tasting more as I would associate with Viognier, a certain peachstone character. Not quite sure I *get* this, but getting there. With air and warming up become more balanced.

Much better than expected. Certainly a big white with a lox of waxiness and heavy texture, low acidity but not flabby. No bitterness. Some noticed a bit of heat but I think it carried the 15% well enough. Pleasant surprise.
Fwiw this was undrinkable on the second night.

Still very fresh, exotic, broad, charming, feminine; a young wine, who said, that Condrieu cannot age. Another great performance from Perret. #Kandestederne#Ib&Pia

Much better than my last btl of this. Huge ripe sexy viognier nose. Lovely citrus, pear, and honeysuckle in the mouth with impeccable balance. Some bitter almonds on the finish. This is a thinking person's wine. Thoroughly enjoyable and such a treat to drink well-aged Condrieu.

While this is nice it isn't great. It is way overshadowed in my find by the 08 regular Perret Condrieu cuvee, which is spectacular. The nose on this was a bit more tropical than I was expecting and I didnt pick up much in the way of floral notes. It is fairly monolithic and doesnt have the complexity one would expect from appelation (and at this price point). Having said that, it is cleanly made, acidically correct, and rather pretty. Drink up.

Burgs & Barolos (Bronte): pale straw. no development. honey, apricot jam, soft hint of spice. intense flavours, especially honey and apricot, lots of dry extract. solid body with a slightly hot finish. has a certain heaviness and a very long resonant finish. interesting but only a 1 glass wine for me.

Dorato chiaro. Il naso alterna note agrumate di cedro e mandarino con note minerali di sasso di fiume; molta freschezza, inconsueta per la tipologia, e qualche suggestione di pepe bianco. Anche in bocca è fresco, persistente, appena ammandorlato all’impatto

Very clear with a golden hue. Fragrance is gentle but intriguing. Scents of coconut and vanilla, dominated by tropical fruit with an apricot edge. Honeycomb makes an appearance perhaps a sign of age. Fleshy and smooth, long, but with firm acidity to close. Apricots, lychees, a hint of oak spice, some aged butterscotch characters. Clean, not cloying, but does have a slightly heavy feel.

Exceptionally aromatic, with roses, almonds, rhubarb and some herbal elements too. The opulent aromatics and an oily texture conspire to hide that there is no lack of acidity here. Fabulous wine - out of most wine geeks' comfort zone.

Light color. Very aromatic and perfumed, but not clumsy at all, like some Condrieu's. Rather light, with Riesling-like acidity. Very mineral. Velvety and light in the mouth.

A private tasting and dinner (Restaurant Bolenius, Amsterdam, NL): Wonderfully aromatic nose, rich, pure and deep, flowers, minerals and apricot; big and rich palate with just a touch of heat, velvety texture, soft but no lack of acidity, intensely flavoured; good length. Beautiful Condrieu to enjoy in its luscious youth.

With its minty and gras nose joins light golden robe, then followed by a multilayered mouth. The final, made of honey and apple-ishnity, shapes the whole experience beautifully.

Starts of with a hint of green apple, light floral and develops into riper sweeter notes. More linear than the Guigal style of condrieu's although the oak is present in its wine making. Well enjoyable but did not enchant us. a good 90

Notable improvement since my previous tasting last tasting in September. More open and forward nose of flowers and peaches; intense and beautifully balanced palate. The alcohol was much less notable and made for a more enjoyable experience.

Different character than the Clos Chanson 2009 by Perret, more opulent. Apricots, canned pineapple, complex and delicate in the nose. Wonderful complex on the palate with fruits and herbal tones so typical for Condrieu. But high alcohol detectable as indicated in previous notes. Might improve further with some aging - 2012-2016.

I'll give 2 points less than last time. This time the high alcohol annoyed me. Nevertheless a very good wine. Perfumed nose and palate with exotic fruit like pineaplle, apricot and some apple and melon.

Garden flowers and flowering apple orchard nose; very enjoyable but hard to completely ignore the alcohol in the background. The palate is also dominated by the alcohol, although there is enough fruit extract and structure for the wine to make it interesting. Much better with food than drinking it alone. Matched nicely with a rabbit paella dish. Would deserve much higher score if not for the high alcohol,

Deep yellow. Outspoken, heavy nose of wine-gums, but also some sweet herbs. Full bodied, and a heavy impression, due to high alcohol of 15% (!) but it conceals the actual alcohol behind the massive fruit. Miight be good with food.

Condrieu.

Mango, apricot and orange peel. Oily texture, good persistance in the mouth, and a certain bitterness at the beginning of the aftertaste. Fine wine.
