I’ve opened two bottle of the 2012 Paloma Merlot and have 10 left to open. Both bottles have contained noticeable chunks of gelatinous content. The first bottle left a gelatinous film all over the glass. I filtered the second bottle and had to clear the filter several times to remove the clogs created by the gelatinous residue. Does anyone know what is the source of the gelatinous residue? Was it fined but not filtered? Another explanation?

Had this wine at Araxi in Whistler. Beautiful wine as expected from Bryant. Showed a little more age than expected but still a treat to drink!
