Side by side with '82 Haut Brion at acclaimed Scaramouche Restaurant, Toronto. Both were great. The '82 showed no typical signs of age - after 31 years it was outstanding and definitely won the battle. I'm giving the '00 a 98 and the '82 - 100 pts. Wow.

Very pale gold. Nice legs. Banana, Apricot, floral notes. Wouldn't call it mineral-like, but softer / warmer - although not buttery / oaky. Nice viscosity, full round mouth feel - astringent start - then mellows into a nice smooth finish with a bit of tartness in back of tongue. Beautiful - how about some seared scallops, oysters, foie?
