Fully mature and showing well with very little air. A very elegant nose with strawberry, oranges, leather and smoke. Soft tannins, high acid and a nice spicy finish. Excellent QPR, highly recommended.

No formal tasting note. Drank at a restaurant, decanted 1 hour and it was just beautiful. Would never guess it’s just an entry level Bourgogne if drinking this blind, drank more like a 1er Cru. Definitely worth the steep price ($149 CAD) and for most people the only way to try wines from the Queen of Burgundy, since most are out of reach price wise. A very memorable experience.

Dried flowers, red berries and a hint of liquorice on the nose. High alcohol, high tannin and high acidity. This is a big wine with a long finish highlighted by beautiful fruit. I think it’s a very good wine and excellent value, but even with a very long decant the tannins are still quite dominant. I would wait another 5-7 years before touching this again or have it with fatty cuts of meat if you have to open one now.
