Dark ruby, capsicum, satisfying acidity, chewy, good tannin, finish long.

Wow…20 years and still holding strong. Must decant and wait for the fruit bomb. Lots of spice with refreshing acidity. Still years ahead.

1997 Penfolds Shiraz RWT

After almost 25 years in bottle, still holding strong, dark crimson colour (no brick at all) and medium-strong body. Noticeable acidity at first sip, red fruits started to kick in after 1.5 hours decant. No problem to sit in the cellar for another 5 to 10 years. Very enjoyable and meaningful for the very memorable first vintage of RWT.
