Rare Wine Dinner - Australian Treasures: Went through Penfolds Clinic in 2012. A nicely youthful nose of raspberry, menthol and licorice. Generous fruit power, there is surprising plushness and it is balanced by excellent acidity. On song tonight, the top up from the clinic probably gave it a nice little lift.

The best of these opened to date. Sound bottle, if a little tired. Liked the dark fruit with hint of smokiness on opening, held up well, all being equal. Fell over after about 45 mins.

Cork was almost completely disintegrated. Not terrible, but not drinkable.
