{Bought on release, PnP at Lenox Sophia with JL, CV, JR, sound cork} Initially reticent, took 15 minutes to start to open. Friends described it as dumb to start. Pale yellow. Acacia, citrus, hints of opulence in the nose, with super followthrough onto palate. Chassagne mix of ripe fruit and minerals with beautiful balance. Understated yet plush fruit that just kept opening and opening. Not a wine with a dramatic forepalate, like some Le Moines or Leflaives ... instead pure, precise, persistent, elegant, suave that slowly opened.
Once home asked my spouse which wine she had liked tonight (also had 2010 Jamet Cote Rotie) and she liked this more; retried the short pour we had returned home with, and it had continued to improve. Easy 93 tonight and can imagine it being even better if allowed to breathe and served just short of room temperature. Class in a glass.

What an impressive 1er, this was succulent and tense with lovely minerality. The kind of wine you can polish off a bottle very quickly before you even realize it's gone. Seems like this should hold at this excellent level at least a few years, a no-brainer re-buy.

92 pts

Unmistakeable scent of Chassagne/ chardonnay grown in mineral rich limestone soils, the dusty chalk infused perfume prompts the palate for the bright, tart, citrus inflected taste to follow. Rich in flavor, but light on the tongue; long lasting flavors that grow even richer in the mind.
Wonderful.
Rated +2 on a scale of -1 to +3.
