Rich tobacco earth nose - opaque - palate less enrapturing than nose would promise being medium in weight - overnight the wine maintained and perhaps even grew a little bit - definitely an overachieving Loire CF though not Rougeard yet in pricing.

Red fruit, violets, redcurrant, raspberry as well as some slight spiciness, blood and oak spice on the nose. The light to medium-bodied palate brings in some more cool red fruit as well as decent acidity. Fine-grained tannins and long finish, tapering towards red berries. Fresh, harmonious and restrained, drinkable now but will probably still improve. The 12.5% ABV is a delight, especially given the vintage.

youthfull as noticed by others, lush red fruits linger and end in an integrated and rounded set of tannines. Good freshness. After an hour or so the wine started showing more depth and complexity but this is far from its plateau, you can feel the tension and bright future in there. Combined with grilled poussin with Morilles sauce. Match in heaven.

from magnum. moderate depth of color, youthful appearance. on the nose super primary and not a lot of complexity going on. didn't pick up new oak on it or strong pyrazines. on the palate the wine shows a lot of quality with high acids transitioning into a fleshy midpalate transitioning into firm but integrated chalky tannins. wine were texture is everything... time will tell if this blows up complexity wise but if not it will likely have beautiful textural balance for a decade or two in this format

This wine was young and primary but it has a lot of stuffing and its future is bright. It was fun to dig into it a bit and find the quality Cab Franc behind it. Hold.
