Another delicious bottle. An interesting comparison to the 2018 Lytton Springs, which I had a few weeks ago. My preference now is clearly the Geyserville, which comes across as more approachable right now - richer, more overtly fruity and more vibrant. I think both will age well and suspect it may be a closer matchup in five or ten years.

Quick decant. Nose of mulled cider and cooked plum with light licorice, charcoal, and applewood aromas. Black raspberry and damson palate rides on a firm structure of tannins and acidity. A peppery wave builds into the finish, fading into rocks, black fruit, spice, and a long, lingering American Oak finale.

Revisited for a birthday dinner... Super enjoyable for the style! Full bodied with big fruit just a touch of nuance with enough acid to keep it afloat. A really great QPR and overall just a pleasant drinking experience!

Lovely now but keep for another 5-8 years. Paired nicely with onglet and green pepper sauce.
