I wasn’t quite as impressed with this wine but for many it was among the most enjoyed wines at a phenomenal tasting.
PnP, this was mostly tertiary and quite green. Heavy capsicum notes on the nose with some dark tobacco and umami. Palate was lean and somewhat short but silky and with good supporting acids. Same bottle at Nutty08 and I’d agree it’s a bit past peak now.

Quite a surprise. This was lovely and very much alive. Mushroom and tobacco nose. palate couldn't keep up with the nose but there was nice tertiary fruit, rather soft. Finish was clipped and tired, showing iron and mineral notes. Past peak but still quite enjoyable.

Another solid showing for leoville barton. Cork was in tact, saturated, but firm. Purple/browning in color. Nose was earth/forest floor/mushrooms/touch of purizine, fruit hanging in there. Palate had earth quality, red fruit, touch sour, overall really pretty wine.

RZ's Bordeaux Seconds (Hawksmoor Guildhall): BBR bottling - bottled at the chateau. Super linear, super precise - everything going on. A welcome greenness on the nose, just a hint of campfire. My wotn. Exquisite.

This bottle was nearing the end of its time. Cork fairly soaked through but nothing the Durand couldn’t handle. Super aged BDX profile. Earth and leather overwhelm the fruit. Nice bottle but seems like it’s probably seen better days.
