(Mostly) Cali Cab Dinner (RPM Steak - Chicago IL): Served double blind. Black fruits throughout, somewhat backward and/ or rustic. I certainly thought this was younger, but I'm just not sure if/ when/ where this will be a much more fun wine.

Dry as a bone at first. Opened up. Muted black fruits still there. No alcohol heat. Dark as night. Ready now. Will only fade from here. Past its prime window already. Still a baby beast. Suggest decanting (something that I never do). Stored perfectly the last 10+ years.

A very nice petite that at 10 years old is still an infant. Should improve over the next 5 years and last at least 5 possibly 10 years more. A really nice wine in a difficult vintage.

Lugeresque V: California Table #6 (Pratt's Inn, Yorktown, NY): Sublime nose of complex black fruit and spice. Smooth, silky, tannic, but starting to soften. A super long finish of spice, cocoa and ripe black fruit. Won't peak for 10-15 years, but is starting to show some small hints of maturity.

Massive, tannic, lots of sediment. Incredibly dark and dense. Drinking really well right now. 92+.
