No Iron like taste that the first bottle showed. Gave it a short airing out, drank away, it was prety ripe with a full mouth feel. Held its own with New York strips and local Oyster mushrooms
Drink now thru the winter if you are still holding

Two hour decant. Killed with rib eye, mushrooms and mashed potates. Upon opening the Iron like Syrah characteristics were too prevelant so into the decanter it went. Ver integrated with time, no tannin, the mouvedre and the carignane came thorugh after the decant and made softness that really paired well witht he creaminess of the mashed potatoes

This matured beautifully and may be at its peak. Nicely perfumed, highly floral nose, the palate is all red berries and cherry and turns a bit more complex with cedar and spice towards the end. Medium bodied drinking really nicely now. A hodgepodge of mixed black grapes... nice !

Well extracted though maybe too much, kinda one dimensional. Third night drinking and a strong diacetyl component blossomed. Buttery it was. Maybe Russian River better for Pinot and Chardonnay.

Amazingly similar to my last note. Despite the low alcohol this is quite dense and ripe.
