nose was alcoholic and sharp at first, with lots of strawberries, mint and mushrooms. As the wine opened up further, prominent notes of sweet lychees came out. I was immediately reminded of Rayas and the 1998 Le Pin I loved so much. There was also a little bit of orange. Honestly, this wine is still a little young and could do with a few more years of cellaring.

A dark color for pinot, with loads of dark cherries and stony fruits: damson if you will, perfume, some meaty notes, and great balance. Smell like a great Morey St Denis. Tons of nutmeg, cardamom, asian spices and clove. A beautiful, surprisingly youthful wine, with a long, long finish with hints of cedar on the back end. At a beautiful peak and I doubt it will improve from this tremendous showing. A real treat. Thanks AG. 96 pts.

Still crazy after all these years... Aged gracefully, elegant. Delicious.

Unbellievable effort..clearly Grand Cru all the way. Impeccable balance and long finish.
