Nice surprise to see this wine still alive. Definitely needs food to soften the acidity. Very light fruit with cedary notes. Finish with a blood/metallic taste which soften with aeration and food.

Fill level midway in the neck, and the long cork came out almost in one piece - just an edge of the cork remaining at the neck, and this was easily removed. Long cork - in excess of 2". Colour remarkably good - deep mahogany, with a marked amber rim; fine aromas - primarily black currant preserves, with some raspberry at the edge, and whiffs of sawn cedar; easy entry, where the wine showed good structure, together with very good black currant flavours; velvety in texture and the flavours ease back in the finish to close down in a medium long aftertaste. This wine was much better in years gone by, but it still registers as a pleasing wine.

Past its peak. Sweet nose with lots of cassis but fading quickly. Metallic finish. Past Storing is suspicious.

Consistent with previous notes. Not much fruit left but still holds a nice color. Finish again with metalic notes. Definitely needs food.
