One would never guess a wine this taut derived from the 2018 vintage, and even at six years of age it remains overly tensile. Some attractive mineral-tinged crabappley fruit, and some thrill from the sheer acidity, but ultimately we didn't find it massively interesting (and it's not clear whether we would have done with five years more development either).

Stunning orchard fruit mixed with solid salinity and density. Absolutely amazing acidity keeps things lively. Starting to show a touch of secondary: nutty notes and a hint of lanolin. In an excellent place and fantastic on day 2 open. This could go for a long time if this btl is representative.

Bart's. Bone dry, tight and tart "like an angry Granny Smith apple" said someone. A bit too dry even for me who has a very dry palate. I'll bet if allowed to rest open overnight, good things would have happened. Hard to judge on this tasting, though.

YAWG Chenin Tasting (X place): Lemon and lime on the nose - a little dirt. This goes back to the sharper and more precise style with more vibrant minerality.

Tres bon chenin qui semblait un mix entre chardonnay et sauvignon. Un vin droit, fruite, vif
