Tasted over a couple hours straight from the fridge. Nose quite reticent, honey and hazelnut mainly. Relatively evolved bottle? Plenty of acidic lift and a good mineral base but not particularly juicy/racy and noticeable dry bump on the finish. Overall very good. Not sure whether there's more to resolve here (there was enough stuffing to suggest it and acidity to believe it) but the hazelnut notes make me think it's best drunk within the next few years.

Dense with some sulfur and more on the citrus and mineral side with some orchard fruits in the background. Excellent texture and power without any heaviness. Lovely 91

A Very Raveneau Dinner (GT Fish & Oyster - Chicago IL): Popped and poured. Like all the Raveneau 2001s tonight, this kept getting better over time. started moderately floral and spicy with apple and pear, this expanded with more time and took on a more intense and dense character. This will still be better 5 years from now.

Creamy lemon, lemon zest and pear while having a clean finish. A beautiful wine!
