  • Better second day or with decanter I suppose. Tannins and acidic notes chill a bit. More sour notes are enjoyable then. The earthy tones are more predominant. The nose is better than the taste. On the dry side. May have missed the peak as the fruit components seem lacking. Good QPR but not sure I’d get it again. It’s alright.

  • Very nice wine. Nicely matured at this point, mellow tannins and beautiful bouquet.

  • Dark garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes of violets, spices, orange peel, herbs, some mint, leather, minerals & a hint of vanilla/oak in the background. Full bodied with very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums with minerals, herbs, some spices & a hint of vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should continue to develop & benefit from additional aging at which time it may rate higher (93+).

  • This had been opened by my wife for 3 days before I had the last glass.

Really very good although the aroma (cedar, strawberry, orange peel) very soft - maybe because it was open so long.

Lovely mouthfeel with medium + acid and soft tannins. Should last but drinking well now. Subtle flavors but very long finish. Medium + body. Vanilla, ripe strawberries, a touch of mint and a bit of caramel on the finish.
