Yet to come across a bad or even meh bottle from Paul. This continues the trend. I had one of these a few years back and it was a bit tight. A few years have done a world of good.
Spiced red fruit, tilled earth, orange zest, touch of brown sugar.
Entering its drinking window, but should go another 5-7 years no issue. ~94.

I’m between 92-93 here, but this definitely has upside. Followed over three days.
Poured this in a blind line-up of new world Pinots and Grenache. While some bigger Pinots were confused for Pinot, this was easy to identify. Very translucent ruby in the glass. Extremely floral on the nose alongside plenty of juicy red fruit (strawberries, raspberries) and savory herbal spices. If whole clusters were used, it was minimal, but this isn’t a brash new world Pinot with overpowering oak. It trends toward a faint kirsch and black tea finish. I always enjoy Lato’s SRH Pinots and this is a good one now and will be for a solid 5-7yrs.

Beautiful dark berries, polished black cherry on a silky smooth frame. Elegant and sophisticated with nice mouthfeel and lingering finish. Love the high quality winemaking Paul infuses in all of his wines.

I consistently love Paul Lato wines but this was the least amazing Pinot I’ve had. Still lovely - but seems to lack the precision of other wines.
