  Out with a bang? This last of our 750s takes 30 minutes to shed some of its cottony structure and come into its own as a nice wine with with a good presentation. I wouldn’t call it a beauty but it is nice.

  PnP. Medium red. Lovely floral nose of lavender and red fruits. Good weight on the palate with lovely mature sweet red fruit flavors. Finishes with a touch of acidity to keep it all in balance. Nice showing at age 12.

  Subsequent notes on this wine from several years ago. Dark ruby red in color with no obvious signs of aging. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & blueberries with overtones of spice notes of cardamom, nutmeg & cloves & floral notes of violets, earthy/dusty notes, minerals, cherry-cola & a slight hint of vanilla. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with spices, herbs, earthy, some cherry-cola notes, minerals & a hint of vanilla. Lingering smooth finish. Drinks quite well at present & at 12 years of age may be at its peak of development but should hold for a few more years if stored properly. Cork was clean & intact; fill was up in the neck.

  Better than meh but still don’t know what to make of it. Lots of fleshy structure that’s surrounded by a good nose and a good length.
