CdB BoG; 1/25/2024-1/27/2024 (Denver): Blind. Guessed Pauillac, oops. Lost my detailed notes but this was my wine of the lunch—and many at my table in agreement. From reading past notes we must have been really lucky with having great bottles. Drinking incredibly well. Rich fruited, still has great structure, did not seem anywhere near the decline. I immediately wanted to purchase more, but looking at the notes it seems like a bit of a gamble.

I opened this last night with trepidation - every review says it's dead. I decanted for 3 hours and drank with tri-tip. I'm not telling you people with better palates than mine are wrong, but this was still kicking. Really wonderful. The color is definitely dimming, but it kept up and was really not tired relative to expectations. I have one more to go... I wont rush to open it.

Very nice, classic Bordeaux nose. But the wine is a bit green and dry in the finish. I expected more.

Top aromas, earthy, forest floor, earthy and complex. Good structure that is finally resolved.
