Drank over two days. Nose was pronounced with savory, reductive notes. These blew off after a few hours. The palate was savory with hints of olive, smoked meat and undercurrents of red and black fruit. Day two brought more balance of savory and fruit. Medium bodied (maybe one of the lighter GOK I've had?) some tannins emerging towards the finish with medium acidity. Again, I think what separates cayuse wines is their elegance with excellent power. I've liked the 14 more but this is still an absolute pleasure to drink. This is in a great drinking window especially if (I don't know why you wouldn't be) you are savoring this over a few hours.

The 2013 Cayuse God Only Knows is an expo in the breadth of grenache in the hands of a good vintner. This wine is a savory funky wine with syrah-esq power that I probably wouldn't have pegged as grenache had I not known. Really bretty on the nose with a core of meatiness and leather with a backbone of black cherry and blackberry. This wine took on air very well and was great with the steak it was served with and the next day after lunch. 93+

"2nd of 2 bottles purchased. This drank very different from my first bottle 4 months ago. Spiced Christmas plum is what came to mind as the dominant flavor. Very well made and unique wine but not my preferred style of wine. So different from any other Grenache based wine I've ever had."

Crimson in color. 13.6% ABV. Savory nose of red fruits, ash, olive brine and flowers. Medium body with just enough acidity. Dark and brooding on the palate with flavors of cherry, strawberry, smoke and minerals. Exceptional length on the finish. Truly unique Grenache that is drinking beautifully at 10 years of age. The last of a 3 pack for me but this will drink well for several more years.

Day 2 notes
Nose is soft and rich. Still hints of funk but very pleasant
Palate is rather simple and linear. Nothing wrong just no wow factor
Not my typical Cayuse experience so I’ll chalk this up to bottle variation
