Ripe red cherries, red currants, red raspberries, pencil lead, dust tobacco, and green bell pepper on the nose. Medium + intensity of aromas. The palate adds fresh mint, but otherwise, the lavors are consistent with the aromas. The main difference is that the tobacco and pencil lead are firmly in the drivers seat (a positive for me) and the fruits taste hotter and more over ripe (a negative for me). High intensity of flavors in any case. Nice 30 second length of finish.
Medium + body with medium acid and persistent medium + tannins. Given the over ripe fruit on the palate, I think will get better as tertiary flavors begin to take over. I'd hold it for another two years and check in then. Great pairing with a grilled filet.

It took a loooong time for this to open up. Mostly red-fruit driven profile with tobacco, herbs and some minerality. It felt somewhat 'vintage' and I'm not sure that's the right description but seemed like an old wine even though just a 2010. I bought this on a whim from B-21 as it had a good year and the price was very decent for an aged Bordeaux. Admittedly I don't know anything about the producer - maybe I should have done some research first. Wine was good and enjoyable but not my favorite style.
Value: I paid $59.00 and I would say there's plenty of other options at that level I'd prefer
Would I buy again: maybe - it's possible this wine needs still more time to develop
Lovely nose with dusty tobacco, leather, dried leaves, newly sawed maple, hint of bell pepper; palate is reserved, brooding, continues some of the tobacco character, crushed rocks, fine but present tannins, acidity buoys the finish, an unusually restrained 2010. Drinkable now, but I think promises much more in a decade or three.
