Schild certainly isn't selling for $9.99 or $12.99 in Colorado, more like $20, so not a QPR candidate for us. We have never had luck with Schild, it either seems we open it too soon or too late or in this case it started out as seemingly over the hill with nasty bad port tastes, but it did evolve after some breathing to where we gave it a 86 and we'd pay $9.99 or $12.99 for it, but would more likely for that price get a domestic Michael-David 6th sense. For the price we paid, for an Aussie Shiraz, we much prefer the products of Sarah and Sparky Marquis-Mollydooker Boxer series. Can't recommend Schild even at a lower price there are better choices. Done with Schild...three strikes and you're out.

Day 1: Fragrant nose with pepper, floral and raspberries. The palate offers some spice, pepper, darker fruits and floral notes. The initial palate is pretty intense but offers a shorter finish. A well made wine that would be a crowd pleaser. Nothing great and no serious flaws. 88 points Day 1.5: This is going to be a pop and pour and consume on the young side wine. I would drink these immediately as this bottle is actually falling apart. Day 2: Not as good on day 2. Brown sugar, raspberries, floral and pepper. Short finish. 85 points Recommendation: Drink on a pop and pour and drink now. Day 3: Very mellow wine featuring spice and pepper. Short finish. 83 points Recommendation: This is a pop and pour and drink by 2022.

A nice easy drinking Shiraz especially for the price point ($12.99) and 90 WS rating; however, I would not say it is one of my favorites. While some call it bold, it was more of a mellow Shiraz without the pepper to make it stand out.
