Delicious! Sipped when opened and then 45 minute decant - opened up nicely and got even better with more time in the glass. Nice balance. Lingering finish. Smooth tannins. Great fruit. No rush to drink remaining bottles. Lots of time left ahead during which this wine will continue to develop and drink beautifully.

Fairly low score for this as I just don’t see the QPR at this point in its life. I did decant for 5 hours and we drunk it over the next 2, so it had time. However at the moment I have to say it’s just too young and I would suggest at least 5 more years. Right now it is fairly classic heavy cab territory - quite chocolatey, dark fruit, tannic. A bit basic? Just sort of unmemorable

Dark ruby fruit - currants, dark cherry, blackberry, and dark raspberry. Really smooth with a nice purity, however, a little lighter profile than around a year ago - medium/medium plus body. More of an elegant style. Nice vibrant/rich flavors of dark berries, baking spices/licorice, a little cocoa, and a graphite component. Fairly long finish. Decanted for two hours and drank over a couple more. Improved a little with time but drinking well after the decant. In my opinion, in line with the 95 rating from WA at this stage. 100% cab.
On initial pour, the nose was rich and beautiful. Lots of blueberry, cedar, graphite, and a hint of vanilla. The wine is still somewhat primary with a great concentration of blue and black fruits, however the tannins were still slightly drying/chalky on initial taste. They softened over the next several hours, but it was clear this one needs additional time. The purity and precision of this wine is striking, as it is an incredibly well made wine. Alcohol and acidity were balanced nicely with a moderate finish.
Next time I open a bottle, I will decant for a minimum of 4 hours, perhaps even 6-8. I'll revisit this one in another few years once the tannins have resolved and are more integrated more seamless.
94pts for now with potential for 95-96pts in another 2+ years.
