  • I must admit, I'm a bit conflicted on this. On it's surface, this is fairly delicious. Bright vibrancy, pale strawberry, green tomato, and an interesting herbal component on the nose, that translates into a much gamier, umami-driven palate. Certainly shorter length. But, very enjoyable and more-ish.

Yet, this is clearly not reflective of a place, or a grape, but mostly a winemaking style. It's an interesting one, but one that could have come from many places. And maybe that's okay?

  • Consumed over 2 days, vacuvined, note from day 2. Nose: Medium expressiveness, raspberry, strawberry, brambles, garrigue, and undertones of dark flowers. Palate: Medium bodied, tart red fruit attack, good acid, green notes and earthiness in the back-end. Finish: Medium length dominated by tart red fruit, spice and earth.

  • From mag. Lasted two weeks (no exaggeration) open. Had glasses on five different night. It changed. Improved a little. Only started to deteriorate on night 13 with just a hint of dried fruit on the palate.

Extremely dark/black fruit profile. Light in texture. A bit volatile. A lot of high tone aromas. Not lush but richer on the palate than I was expecting. Firm and refreshing acid spine.

A lot of enjoyment in this big bottle.

  • Bright strawberry, potting soil, leather. Soft, lightweight, minimal extraction, carbonic maceration. This comes together with balance but the natural wine yeast-driven aromas are a bit much for me. Vin de France with 50% Gamay from Fleurie, Syrah from Côte Rôtie, Mondeuse from Savoie, and Pinot Noir Alsace. Aged 10 months in foudre. No sulphur.
