My last bottle, and probably a good time to drink it, as it is fresh and alive. Perfectly mature, more primary than I expected, but that is not a criticism. Rich, full, plump red berry fruit is very enticing and inviting. No danger of imminent decline. If you like Brunello that shows more secondary characteristics, I’d give this a few more years in the bottle. 5-12-16-8: 91/100.

Coravined a few glasses to decant and a taste for myself. I was thinking 93 points but a lot of the delicate scents floated off after an hour. Still nice but I would not decant too long. Plenty of life left just a bit monotone after the initial release of deliciousness. Texture was fine without air and actually soften a bit too much after a few hours.

Decanted for one hour. Nose of black cherry, tobacco, dried herbs, anise and forest floor. Black cherry, forest floor, tobacco, anise and dried herbs on the palate. Very long, well balanced, finish. Medium to full bodied. Served with pepperoni pizza.

Good amount of age on this bottle.. paired it with pizza. Tannins unfolded quite well after decanting for about 45 minutes. Very effortless and smooth. Still has plenty of length and time in my opinion. Medium legs. Dark stone fruits, leather and baking spices. Chocolate truffles also comes to mind.

Very good with pizza. Probably not a good match with meat based meal.
