PnP. Nice red fruit and very open. Has the classic Grivot oak style which I find enjoyable. Shows more purple fruit and depth than many 2017s and will benefit from some additional age to fully come together.

Tasted at Domaine with Etienne Grivot. Sweet purple and black fruits on nose. Dark cherry, blackberry, sweet blackcurrant. Some liquorice and touch of pepper. Nice concentration and balance. Still rather young - tannins present. Very nice.

2017 reds with Jasper Morris MW (67 Pall Mall TV): JM says Beaux Monts has a special place in his heart and is often his favourite Grivot 1er cru. Etienne Grivot said the 2017s are splendidly drinkable. Again, completely destemmed.
The colour is once again reddish, crimson with a pale rim. Very Grivot on the nose, with deep cherry and blackberry fruit and hints of game coming through. Extremely fluid and elegant on the palate, and almost stony and austere on the finish, with a lot of energy and drive. Prickly spice and cherry drops on the finish - altogether enlivening. Would be excellent with food. If only these wines weren't so expensive...

Modern style, rich, sweet fruited wine. Easy drinking and enjoyable, but lacking complexity. If blind I’d have guessed something out of Oregon. Not worth the price tag as you can find similar for a fraction of the price, but then again fewer red burgs are worth their price these days

Really enjoyable burgundy at Le Clarence with SL + FF. Surprisingly savory and elegant for age
